I swore I was not going to watch the service tonight because I did not want to listen to the president. Instead I watched a movie with my family. The movie ended at 11:00 pm so just out of habit I put on the late show of O’Reilly.
Lo and behold it was a repeat of the services held earlier tonight. I was about to turn the TV off when I noticed people going up to Nancy Pelosi wanting to take pictures with her. That got my attention so I started to watch to see what was going to happen. Within seconds of that here comes Obama and his wife towards their seats in the front row with others such as the Aide to Gabrielle that may have saved her life. As I watched my ears started to bleed, not litterally. Did anyone else notice that some of the crowd were acting as if they were at a College Basketball Game during the Final Four. The cheering and clapping and hollering was beyond classless. I turned the TV off at that point.
Or am I being to sensitive?

It was a service that reflected this administration. A mirror image of the disrespect this man has for the American people… ALTHOUGH THE SPEECH WAS ALMOST GOOD, the people in the crowd had little respect for the reason behind it.. I guess this is what we can expect from the new generation… God Bless the victims and their family… May your deaths stay clean of politics…
I was disgusted knowing that tshirts were on every chair (see Michelle Malkin web site) and after listening to the crowd’s applauds, this was a political rally, nothing more. Shame on them for not having the decency to respectfully pay respect to those whom passed away. May God be w/the victms of this traedy.

The health care crisis is over, the dems NOW have HEALING powers just by entering a sick persons room, the coma patient awakes….. That is how the obamacare will not cost tax payers any money… The dems are going from room to room with healing hands….
I dodged it all, but my brother told me all I needed (or wanted) to know. This was so sad it was nothing more then a pep rally.

I almost vomited when I heard that cheering. I’ve been to plenty Duke basketball games, and didn’t cheer nearly as hard as they did at that disgrace of a memorial service.
Those people should be ashamed. I’m disappointed Obama didn’t tell em to shut up. Would have been the smartest move he ever made in his presidency, which is rather pathetic.

I could not sleep last night and was listening to Fox and I heard about a STUDY of College students, they were asked what they CRAVED more booze, sex, drugs or self-esteem. Of course they picked the booze and sex right?
I mean kids have been parting like “rock stars” for generations. Having sex like rabbits because we were sure our folks were not “”DOING IT”..
NOPE, not this generation, they want self esteem boosts …………
Our children have become hateful ME, ME, ME junkies… and our system thinks NOTHING will come from that way of thinking?
We have at least 30 years of children that are used to getting everything THEY WANT, when THEY WANT IT, PERIOD. They do not want something they have WORKED for but they want it GIVEN to them for no other reason then because THEY WANT IT and they DESERVE it…
Let’s fast forward 5 years…. This group of people WILL NOT stand in line for hours to get a loaf of bread, no this generation will get up at 3 in the afternoon, take a shower, fix their hair, make-up, pick out an outfit and will show up at a bread line at 6pm when it opened at noon. Whine and cry because they are at the end of the line and NOBODY is giving them CUTS….. Does anyone really expect them NOT to throw themselves to the ground, kick their feet and when that does not work, because they have never been told NO nor do they understand the word, what will they do next?
You guessed it, they are going to go to the only thing besides I want, I need and the I deserve that they know….VIOLENCE… Violence because that is the only thing they know besides the ME ME ME…….

To be very honest, I thought the speech was reasonable if not much too long. He paid tribute as he should have, and he kept his personal references to a minimum -probably a personal best for him. And I actually thought he seemed a little uncomfortable with all the inane cheering -at first- but it was clear by the end that he was feeding off of it as his voice inflections took on that familiar campaign tone.
The college president should have tamped down on the students from the get go, if they weren’t unable to foresee the childish behavior coming before the event.
The coverage since though, has of course been atrocious. Obama’s a saint, Palin’s a washed up hag. Yada yada yada. Who didn’t see that coming? All-in-all I give him a C which is probably his limit. I expected much worse.
