Have you heard the news? President Obama inherited an economic mess from the Bush administration.
You say that’s hardly news? But it’s been the message sounded over and over by the White House. Top Obama adviser David Axelrod said on one of the Sunday news shows, “He walked in the door, we had the worst economy since the Great Depression.” In San Francisco, Obama talked of being “busy with our mop.” White House heavy hitter Rahm Emanuel used the worst-economy-since-the-Depression line on a public TV news show.
You’d think it’s October 2008, the final month in the Obama presidential candidacy, rather than October 2009, nine months into the Obama presidency. Yet the Obama White House is in full campaign mode — maybe because it needs to mask the shortcomings of the Obama presidency.
Take, for example, all the talk of inheriting the worst economy since the 1930s crisis. That came in response to the news that the federal deficit hit $1.4 trillion.
Yet just a few months ago, the Obama camp was singing a little different tune. It was under criticism for the $787 billion stimulus package it bulldozed through Congress on grounds that massive spending was needed to keep the unemployment rate from breaching 8 percent. When joblessness hit 9.5 percent in June, Vice President Joe Biden said, “We misread how bad the economy was.”
They inherited the worst economy since the Great Depression, or the economy turned out to be worse than they thought. Which is it? It can’t be both — unless your brain is completely addled by the Obama charisma.
Obama is still popular, but polls show the public losing faith in his policies. Another indicator was a ”Saturday Night Live” skit lampooning Obama for the major accomplishments of his administration — “jack and squat.” If the honeymoon is ending with the American voter, it isn’t for obsequious elements of the mainstream media. CNN prostrated itself by fact-checking the ”SNL” comedy skit.
But that’s harmless compared to the virulent campaign against Obama critics carried out by the denizens of MSNBC. Its Obama acolytes seek to demonize opponents of Obama’s policies by focusing on most marginal corners of right-wing politics like, for example, the “birthers” who deny Obama is a natural born citizen. The larger scheme is to imply Obama critics are racists.
That’s the backdrop to the story of Rush Limbaugh getting booted from a group bidding to buy the St. Louis Rams. He was smeared on CNN and MSNBC with false accusations of making two racist comments. He is an abrasive critic of Obama, so he must be racist, or so goes the left-wing story line. I wouldn’t defend everything Limbaugh has ever said, but lies were used to blacklist him from professional football for his political views.
Recently an MSNBC personality accused the U.S. Chamber of Commerce of lobbying for policies that amount to being “treasonous to this country.” Remember how liberals roared in outrage at any hint of their patriotism being questioned for criticizing the Iraq War? Well, it’s the left that doesn’t shy from attacking the patriotism of those it dislikes. Recall the repulsive Moveon.org “General Betray-us” ad against Iraq commander Gen. David Petraeus. Recent opposition to Chicago’s Olympic bid was cast as a sign of a lack of patriotism among Obama critics.
The MSNBC blast against the chamber appears to dovetail with what the Politico newspaper reports is a White House and Democratic effort “to marginalize” the business organization. That echoes the administration assault on the Fox News Channel: It says Fox isn’t a news organization.
The White House trying to dictate who’s a news organization. Democrats out to gut a business group. Obama media allies damning Americans as racist, unpatriotic and treasonous. Is this the America Obama promised when he campaigned to end the cynical and divisive politics of the past?

It seems to me that all the negative vibes this blowhard (Rush Hudson Limbaugh A.KA. Jeff Christie) has been spewing over these many years has come back to blow back on his face (A classic “Blow Back”). He always tries to give off the airs that he can have anything he wants but as we all witness those with more money and more influence tossed him aside like sack of potatoes and the ultimate insult was that it was done in public (money don’t buy you everything butterball).
Now of course he blames everyone else (Michael J. Fox, Perez Hilton, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Sonia Sotomayor, Hillary Clinton, Olympia Snowe, ESPN, NFL, the media, basically people of color, the handicapped, women and gays) when of course all you have to do is listen to his show and plainly hear his daily prejudices filled sermons. So NFL, I salute you decision, job well done. And to the whaling cry baby perched on his self made pedestal, quit your whining it was your own fault. You are reaping what he has sowed, KARMA, “Palin and simple” like his followers. Don’t we all feel better?

I see you are one of the many on the left that fell for all the lies being told about Rush. Did you know that everything the bone-heads like Rev. Al Sharpton, said about Rush were all lies? Probably not right? You see, that’s the difference between you and I. You blab on about anything you read at the Daily Kos or whatever Kieth Olberman says and never get the facts.
I strongly urge you to broaden your sources of information.

Have you ever actually listened to Rush Limbaugh? But, but…I thought you on the political Left tout yourselves as “open-minded” and “tolerant” of diverse points-of-view!
You see, unlike you, we know what we talk about because we do read, watch, and listen to Left-wing commentators — mainly because we can’t avoid them because the Left dominate all media and pop culture in America.
So here’s my challenge to you — Listen to Limbaugh for a week or a week’s worth, then report back to us.

Wise up Liptard, Rush was kept from investing in a football team, not because of particular comments that he made ( the ones that good ole race baiter Sharpton and others came up with were totally false) it was because of his views and political speech you moron. If they can persecute someone like Rush, just think for a moment what could happen to people like me or you. If only I could blame my failures and misconceptions on someone else that had the job before me, because let me tell you, when I started my job and had a mess to clean up, blaming the other person before me would have gotten very old for everyone else around me after only a few weeks, they hired me to do the job and ‘clean’ up any mess and thats it and if I could not do, perhaps I was not the right person for the job…or creating more of a mess
We know that in the final days, false prophets will be numerous and successful. They are not restricted to religious groups alone.

Limbaugh is just one of many who have become rich through preaching hate and the propagation of lies. He has made many questionable racial remarks over the years which have been well-documented.

Where are you coming from???
I went to your first link on Rush, mediamatters, I read nothing that was attributed to Rush Limbaugh that was racist. Everything I read was Truthful. I don’t believe he is prophesying either.
Mohammed was one of the false prophets from your bible quote. Obama is one of the Liars from your bible quote. Obama has convinced people that his way is the best for the rest of us even if we don’t want it! Obama is not putting forth SOUND Doctrine, He is trying to succeed where all before him have failed, such as Adolf Hitler, Mao Zedong, Marx, etcetera!

I did not find the Rush Limbaugh item from your second link, but I am sure the media is trying to convince you that Rush is racist by telling you how to interpret what he says so you believe it’s racist. They could just as easily convince you he isn’t if they reported it differently.

Well, I have — since Fall of 1989 — so I do not need to rely on what other people say, especially not what left-wing websites such as Media Matters say.
I can testify, from having actually listened to Rush through the years, that I’ve NEVER heard him “preach hate” or lie or engage in racism. Did you know that he’s had an African-American, Bo Snerdley, work for him for years?

I found the story at the 2nd link you posted, I did not get the racial insinuation from Rush calling Obama a man-boy, I thought he was referring to Obama’s inexperience in politics and lack of knowledge about our country.
I read some of the comments after the article and couldn’t help but notice the one from Reh Dogg. He has a blog site you should probably visit to get some perspective. He is a black conservative. http://rehdoggsrandomthoughts.wordpress.com/
I listened to this man often during the early 1990s. Much of his commentary then was satirical, not hateful. I agreed with some of his views, but was disgusted by his attack on Chelsea Clinton, a child at the time, and haven’t listened to him since.
He now focuses primarily on encouraging the public to hate the President. This is evident from Bob’s comment. Who has been equating President Obama with Hitler, Mao, and Marx? Rush and his many imitators. They seem intent on dividing this country instead of uniting it.
Proverbs 10:12: Hatred stirs up dissension, but love covers over all wrongs.
Proverbs 10:18: He who conceals his hatred has lying lips, and whoever spreads slander is a fool.
Earlier this year, I read that Limbaugh said he hoped the President fails.
I am not particularly impressed by President Obama’s performance so far, but I hope he succeeds in keeping this country from sinking into another depression. To wish for his failure is the same as wishing for America to fail.

I like that you are ready with scripture to back up your beliefs. I wonder though, Do you believe Obama is a christian? I’ve heard him say he is. However, I also know his background, and who he has associated himself with in the past. I also know he is a Muslim. The Muslims have a doctrine called Taqiya, (May have spelled it wrong), The short definition of this doctrine is,- A muslim can LIE! I do not think Jesus would agree with this doctrine. Obama is comfortable lying to every American. He is doing everything he can to take away our freedom and liberty given to us by GOD.
So that you know, I hate no one. Satan loves haters. Mr. Obama has lying lips and hates Americans. STILL WANT TO SUPPORT HIM? HUH?
I wait for the day it’s proven that he is not elligible to be president. I don’t like his policies, and I don’t want government running my life! Instead of bailing out the Auto industry, Banks and Wall Street, he should have let them fail, they brought it on themselves with their greed.

Strawberryfield, as for Limbaugh, I don’t see him promoting hatred and dividing this country. He is trying to unite us in working together to influence Obama and his administration not to destroy our Constitution, and our country.
I don’t know what he said about Chelsea Clinton, but, If you stop listening to people the first time they say something you don’t agree with, you only hurt yourself. Jesus didn’t minister to the people who had faith, he ministered to those who did not so they could be saved.

If you had actually listened to Limbaugh, you’d know that he has explained, again and again, that he wants Obama to fail BECAUSE OF HIS RADICAL LEFT POLICIES. That is to say, Limbaugh does make the distinction between the sinner and his sins — which is what Christ instructs us to do.

Both Limbaugh and Gio’s World here completely disagree. You are making the dangerous assumption that Obama is America — which is what communist and fascist regimes have done and do. In America, the president is NOT the personification of America!

Are you saying that an economic depression must be avoided AT ALL COSTS, even if it means this country becoming economically socialist and politically dictatorial? If so, then you and I part ways, and I will do my utmost to defeat people like you.
