Romney doesn’t belong at CPAC anyway, as he is but one notch below McCain on the RINO totem pole.

What is going on at CPAC? from Hotair:

“Ron Paul has ended Mitt Romney’s three-year run as conservatives’ favorite for president, taking 31 percent of the vote in the Conservative Political Action Conference’s annual straw poll.”

Good grief…we are in trouble! Don’t want Romney NOR Paul…

Making sense of what’s going on at CPAC just got a little easier. I had to watch/listen to the Key-Note Speech given by Glenn Beck this evening. I thought he did an awesome job. He stayed true to his principles (and mine) that at this point in time neither party can be trusted. If the GOP really wants my vote, they have a lot to do to earn it.

Getting back to making some sense of the CPAC Polling for president. A few minutes before Glenn came on, one of the Fox News talking heads explained why the polling may have gone the way that it did. There are individual booths set-up around the convention for each possible candidate. If you went by their booth you would more than likely be asked to vote for whatever candidate that booth represented. The people operating those booths decided who got the most votes. CPAC drew 10,000 participants this year, but only 2,400 +/- voted. If the booth operators simply outworked, or even out-foxed the others, they won. So the bottom line is… Ron Paul supporters worked harder and were slightly sneakier than the Romney booth operators.

As far as I’m concerned, this straw poll was a complete joke. Neither Paul or Romney could ever represent the people. Ron Paul is a very smart man, but he is not Presidential material. But… because of his brain-power, I would like to see him as part of the next Conservative Presidents cabinet. As far as Romney goes… maybe, just maybe he could be a VP contender, but never top dog!

My two cents.

Yeah, I’ve been tweeting w/a college kid at CPAC. He said Paul fanatics were all over the place and basically had a lot of activists there.

Another tweeter in Seattle attended a town hall mtg this am (as did I in Lake Forest Park). She said Paul followers showed up basically saying “we’re in charge now”.

Bet the SRM will now and try to rally around Ron Paul…

Sorry, I’m drawing a blank… what’s SRM?

Isn’t Ron Paul a Truther? If nothing else he’s an Isolationist and part of the “Blame America Crowd” at least as it relates to Islamic Jihadism. My guess is the CPAC crowd was on the younger side today…

BK,

He’s also one of those people that thinks we should legalize drugs. He is also so anti-war that I would be afraid he would back away if we were attacked. The big problem is his followers, the are certified.

Hey, did your snow melt yet? It was in the fifties here today and I actually got a slight sunburn. Thank God for Global Warming.

It’s melting, but we’ve still got a lot left. Finally, yesterday, the city came by with a loader and dump truck and cleared the rest of the streets in my neighborhood. We’ve been able to get out and about for a while now, but the street was still only one lane wide and there was 10′ of snow, almost 3′ deep between my mailbox and the cleared lane. Now, along both sides of the street, theres a shear wall of snow two feet deep on average, and higher in places where the shoveled piles ended up! It’s a strange look, these clean, shear walls of snow left by the loader bucket. At least I can get my bills now though…

The tweeter I know that is there said that 60% of all registrants @CPAC10 are 17-22 yo. He also said the Paulites are real crazy!

And HECK NO to Paul…yes, a truther (IMO). Also, I believe he would be no better than The Traitor when it comes to foreign policy.

I have first cousin who is crazy–8 kids that are completely isolated from society, no TV, home-schooled (that’s OK), and they are BIG supporters of Ron Paul. On their Christmas cards, all 10 of them had on Ron Paul matching T-shirts. That’s the kind he attracts.

I find it odd that the Paulites have stayed quiet until now. But I find it amazing that they were able to stay below the radar for so long. This tells me that they sure know how to keep a secret, which for some reason seems a little spooky.
