Who Is Gonna Save America?

11 02 2010

Earlier today I posted about the riots breaking out in the country of Greece. The short story is… Greece is broke, so…. Greece decided to cut back on benefits and wages for government workers. Greece has something like 20% of their civilian workforce working for the government. Greece government workers belong to a large Union. The Greece government workers have gone on strike effectively shutting down the country because the Union says they won’t give up a cent in bennie’s or salaries. Greeks are on the verge of starting a bloody revolution.

Europe Vows to Save Greece

Pledge to Prevent Athens Default Is Watershed for Euro Zone; Details Remain Vague

My question is… Considering the path our government is on, how long until we go through what Greece is suffering? More importantly…

Who is going to save the United States of America?

It isn’t a “who” that is going to (maybe) save America, but a couple of “whats.”

Those “whats” will be a combination of the removal of the Obamanistas in their entirety, a complete 100% reversal of their hideous communist agenda, and the passage of the FairTax.

Anything short of the above and we’re forked, and future generations of Americans beyond us will be forked even worse.

Liberalism must be destroyed in America if it is to survive.

Voters in Washington Voted down pay raises for government employees just to have their votes over turned by that same government, now that really sucks. It is time they all take a pay cut for the crappie job they are doing…

We gotta save it ourselves…our “reps” no longer represent us. Educated votes, participating in the caucus, and pray. Calls/emails, heck even voter approved initiatives no longer work.

Velenda, I live in WA ST and am FURIOUS. Those aholes not only over ruled us, they crammed in so many bills to raise taxes this week including: 1% sales tax increase, DOUBLING death tax from 19 – 38%, taxes on candy and bottled water, Windfall Oil Profits bill, increase in water rights applications, and at least SIX other tax increasing bills (that I know of).

I am going Galt soon…either to Oregon (just as bad but no sales tax) or Idaho for major shopping.

DCG,

Did you happen to see the piece I did on the guy running in Oregon?

Yes. I’m hopeful for him (in a conservative part of OR) but OR is just as bad as WA ST…too many progressives in the major metropolitans that outnumber our votes. OR voters just approved a major tax increase (bought and paid for by the union ads). Here in the NW, we are ALWAYS out numbered by the nutroot progressives that want our money.

DCG,

By the time they figure out that you can’t tax and spend your way to Utopia it will be too late. At this stage of the game it may actually make sense for the country to be divided up between Conservatives and progressives. Those that consider themselves moderates can choose to live in one half or the other. I bet most of them would choose to live with us in the Conservative part of the country.

Yes, it’ll will be too late…Division make work but I prefer a revolution!!

Our reps are voting tomorrow, yes tomorrow, on the myraid of tax increasing bills. They will make the final vote after 6:00 (after evening news) so the bas*ards can’t be on display during critical news hour how they are shoving this down our throats.

BTW, I started writing something about this, but it has exponentially gotten so worse, everytime I think about it my BP rises! Needless to say, it’s a work in progress with all the shenanigans my state is pulling…

I totally understand. Things have gotten so bad that all of us are frustrated as hell and we want some damned action. It’s one of the things I can’t stand about politicians. Even when they make a decision, it’s usually the wrong one, and they do it quick. When they do the right thing, it could drag on for years.

My BP has been rising almost daily and my Doc is not happy with me. Her orders to me were to stop doing what I’m doing and find a hobby. I told her my country is my hobby!

Get this, on top of the tax raising bills, the WA ST House approved a measure that lets cash-strapped school districts ask voters for additional money. The House passed the measure lifting the levy lid that currently limits how much school districts can seek, and how often, from 2011 to 2017. WE ARE SCREWED…considering we just had school levies and all of them passed!

I can’t take this much longer…
