Senator Cornyn Tea Party

3 02 2010

For those of you that have been following GB, the Republican plant on this blog… Now we know exactly who he’s working for. It may be time that we contact Senator Cornyn ourselves and explain the reality of the Tea-Party movement.

I think it’s time we start planning with other groups, blogs, organizations, etc, to ensure that we get honorable people being put forward as candidates for a yet-to-be-named party. My email is giovanni.faga@yahoo.com and I would be interested in hearing what some of you think away from the blog. Everything will be confidential!

Republicans worried over Tea-Parties

Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), the head of the Republican Senate campaign operation, said Tuesday that the GOP is working to head off the danger of the Tea Party movement forming a third party by getting its activists involved in the primary process.

“I think it’s important that we try to channel these relative newcomers to the political process through our primaries so that they can have an impact on who’s nominated. And hopefully they’ll unite behind that nominee after the primary,” he told reporters in the Capitol.

Cornyn was asked if he saw a danger that the anger that energizes the movement would overwhelm the party. “I don’t think so. I think the greater danger is if they don’t feel like they have a voice within the political parties that they choose to go the third parties route. I think that would be less desirable for all sorts of reasons,” he said.

Cornyn and the GOP have a needle to thread. Their success so far has come from independents drifting away from Democrats and toward Republicans. But those independents might not find themselves at home with a party courting a Tea Party movement and a base increasingly disconnected from reality.

A new survey of 2,000 self-identified Republicans found that significant numbers believe the president was not born in the United States, is a socialist, is a racist and should be impeached and that their home state should secede from the union.

On Tuesday, Republican Tennessee Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey volunteered that he was among those who doubted Obama’s citizenship. Ramsey was asked if someone should sue Obama to reclaim the salary he’s being paid as president.

“I’ve got a tableful of advisers sitting over there and they’ll probably start cringing right about now when I start talking about some of this stuff right here,” he said, according to the Nashville Scene. “I’m going to tell you something. I don’t know whether President Obama is a citizen of the United States or not. I don’t know what the whole deal is there. But I’m going to tell you something. When you walk out on the street down, people don’t really care about this issue.”

The Tea Party heads to Nashville this week for an annual convention headlined by Sarah Palin.

Cornyn, asked how the extreme views of his base will affect the political climate in the next year, returned to focus on the value of independents, dismissing those in the survey as voters “who are unaffiliated who have a variety of views.”

“I think what really makes a difference in this environment is the fact that independents who elected this Democratic majority, and who elected Scott Brown in Massachusetts, that independents are flocking away from this administration and Democratic candidates, because they’re scared of what single-party rule has meant in this country. You’re going to have people in both political parties who are unaffiliated who have a variety of views but I think independents are the ones who are going to make a difference in the electoral outcome,” he said.

Disconnected from reality my ass! The next paragraph gets even better…
“A new survey of 2,000 self-identified Republicans found that significant numbers believe the president was not born in the United States, is a socialist, is a racist and should be impeached and that their home state should secede from the union.
Now you see why I’m having trouble with Republicans?! Of course people question whether Obama was a natural born citizen, he has spent waaay too much money on lawyers trying to block info from going public. Most are beyond the Socialist claim. I for one seriously believe Obama in his heart of hearts, is a Marxist! And there is plenty of stuff out there that would lead someone to the same conclusion. He may very well be a racist and he may have committed impeachable offenses. Finally, if this mysterious un-named poll even exists, I’m betting that what people are promoting is going back to the founders original intent and strengthening states rights.

Personally, I think Senator Cornyn is full of Cow-Ship!

And therein lies the problem (except many are not new to the political process). The problem lies within the GOP who are RINOS. We don’t have a true conservative voice within the GOP that we can nominate and are forced to go to a third party. The GOP is so disconnected from reality, what we want, and are too entrenched in the political machine. NO MORE RINOS!

This whole subject really scares me. I have seen this coming, and if we are not careful, the conservatives will split and we will have Democrats winning again, and the country fail like they want. I am not really sure that Cornyn is behind this, or that he has that much power. GB will laugh at me, but I feel his infiltration comes from much higher up–not sure where. Our youngest daughter is dating an aide to a Republican North Carolina member of House of Representatives in Washington. I have been meaning to talk to him and get his feelings on this, so now is a good time. Let y’all know what he says. Actually, she runs hot and cold w/ him because she took a job in Mississippi and does Not want to marry someone in potlitics, but I talk w/ him daily on Facebook.

I didnt leave the Republican party… it left me, and all these reality disconnected and unhinged racist tea partiers happen to be the REAL base and power that used to be the Republican party! It makes me mad as h@ll to hear them flippantly disregard the American public and their concerns, and the more comments I hear on the matter the more I understand who is ACTUALLY disconnected from reality and that there really is no difference in the two parties. They both are in the same race, one just gets there a little faster than the other.

Koa,

Your post is confusing, so before I drain you of all your blood could you be a little more specific about your claim of racist tea-partiers.

“and all these reality disconnected and unhinged racist tea partiers happen to be the REAL base and power that used to be the Republican party!”
Sorry for the confusion…….the above statement was commenting on the baseless slander being thrown about to describe Tea Partiers, the next comment…” happen to be the REAL base and power that used to be the Republican party!”…..was supposed to tie in the fact that the claims,” racist, unhinged, and disconnected from reality” which I repeatedly hear to describe the movement, are inapropriate and baseless…appearantly I missed the mark a little and wasnt clear enough, I tend to get a little worked up over these issues. Hopefully I cleared it up and my blood supply will remain intact. 🙂

Koa,

No problem. I read your post over and over because I had a gut feeling that you meant for it to come out better than it did. But not being 100% sure, I figured I would ask.

“Racist” Tea Partiers?

I hope that was sarcasm.

The formation of a third party now would mean the certain installation of a permanent socialist/communist congress.

That would mean the end of our republic forever as it was founded.
