More Awesome Obama

21 01 2010

The Scott Brown win in Mass was a real bummer for Obama, and it wasn’t so much that Brown won as much as it was he won on Obama’s one year anniversary. With accusations flying and Obama trying to blame everything on George Bush, Obama’s progressive/marxist friends were trying to cover for him. Esquire magazine online was just one outlet that came to Obama’s defense with a list of his accomplishments over the last 12 months. They meant for this list to make Obama look much better than the truth, but as you will see in their list below, some of the items are pathetic and wrong-headed. As usual, my edits will be in the color Red.

A week before he was sworn in, Obama jammed part two of the bank bailout down the throat of his own party — a $350 billion accomplishment. Now he wants to punish them.

Two days after he was sworn in, Obama banned the use of “harsh interrogation” and ordered the closing of Guantánamo. Everyone knows this is a dumb idea.

A day later, Obama reversed George W. Bush’s funding cutoff to overseas family planning organizations — saving millions of lives with the stroke of a pen. Saving millions of lives is an outright lie. When was the last time that Abortion Clinics saved a life? More on this here.

Three days after that, Obama gave a green light to the California car-emissions standards that Bush had been blocking for six years — an important step on the road to cleaner air and a cooler planet. Bush blocked it so the Big 3 Auto makers would not have to meet yet another standard making profitability even harder. Now we own GM and we know the ‘cooler planet’ argument was a lie.

Two weeks after that, Obama signed the stimulus bill — a $787 billion accomplishment. That has only put money into places for Obama and Dem politicians. So far it has been a huge waste of money!!!

Ten days after that, Obama formally announced America’s withdrawal from Iraq. He announced the withdrawal that had previously been worked out by the Bush administration. It’s taking credit for something you did NOT do!

A week later — we’re in early March now — Obama erased Bush’s decision to restrict federal funding for stem-cell research. Another baby killing idea.

In April and June, Obama forced Chrysler and GM into bankruptcy. This is a flat out lie! It would have been better for America if he had let them file for bankruptcy instead of bailing them out with billions. And, they recently got billions more!

In June, Obama reset the tone of our relations with the entire Arab world with a single speech — an accomplishment that the Bush administration failed to achieve despite a series of desperate PR moves (anyone remember Charlotte Beers?) and a “public diplomacy” budget of $1 billion a year. They forget his bowing to foreign leaders and his world tour of “America is sorry”. Jerks!

Also in June, Obama unveiled the “Cash for Clunkers” program, a “socialist” giveaway that reanimated the corpse of our car industry — leading, for example, to the billion-dollar profit that Ford announced on Monday. Another 3 billion dollar tab that the tax-payer had to pick up.

I haven’t even mentioned Sonia Sotomayor, the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, the order to release the torture memos, Obama’s push for charter schools, his $288 billion tax cut, or the end of Bush’s war on medical marijuana. Or the minor fact that he seems to have — with Bush’s help, it must be said — stopped the financial collapse, revived the credit markets, and nudged the economy toward 3.5 percent growth in the last quarter. What $288 billion dollar tax cut??? And they think Racist Sonia is a good thing?! My head is gonna explode, I gotta stop.

Oh, and one more thing: President Obama is now a month or two from accomplishing the awesome and seemingly impossible task that eluded mighty presidents like FDR, LBJ, and WJC — health-care reform. LOL, yeah he’s awsome alright. LOL…..

I do believe the $288 billion dollar tax cut has to be repaid this year by all that received the $300 check last year… And if I also remember it right, it started as a $500 check before he won the election then dropped to $300 after he won…. I do remember telling everyone that I knew that voted for obama that they were SELLING thier vote for $500. Then laughing at their dumb asses for only getting $300………
