Opponents of Obamacare Are Racists!

7 12 2009

I didn’t think Harry Reid can be more reprehensible than he already is. But I was wrong.

Reid now has sunken so low as to liken those opposed to Obamacare with racists and misogynists.

Today, on the Senate floor, Reid compared Republicans who oppose health care reform to lawmakers who clung to the institution of slavery more than a century ago, as well as those who opposed women’s suffrage and the civil rights movement — even though it was Sen. Strom Thurmond, then a Democrat, who unsuccessfully tried to filibuster the Civil Rights Act of 1957 and it was Republicans who led the charge against slavery. (See the FoxNews article on this.)

Reid is getting desperate. Not only is he struggling in his reelection campaign in Nevada, for the first time, opposition to Obamacare in his home state has increased to above 50% and support has fallen to below 40%.

Yet Reid is one of the most powerful plantation owners in America. He and his corrupt party members should be ashamed at what they have done to minorities in this country.

Damn, why do I always feel like I’m wasting my breath with these scum-bags?!

It’s the Democrats who want to make slaves out of us. Do people not see this?

iF I am remembering my history correctly, it was Republicans who wanted to end slavery. Southern, white slaveholers were Democrats, I believe.
