HOUSE HEALTH CARE BILL OVER $1 TRILLION FOR DECADE

By David Espo – Oct 23, 2009

Washington (AP) – Health care legislation taking shape in the House carries a price tag of at least $1 trillion over a decade, significantly higher than the target President Barack Obama has set, congressional officials said Friday as they struggle to finish work on the measure for a vote early next month.

Democrats have touted an unreleased Congressional Budget Office estimate of $871 billion in recent days, a total that numerous officials acknowledge understates the bill’s true cost by $150 billion or more. That figure excludes several items designed to improve benefits for Medicare and Medicaid recipients and providers, as well as public health programs and more, they added.

The officials who disclosed the details did so on condition of anonymity, saying they were not authorized to discuss them publicly.

Some moderate Democrats have expressed reluctance to support a bill as high as $1 trillion. Last month, Obama said in a nationally televised address before a joint session of Congress that he preferred a package with a price tag of around $900 billion.

The big magic trick strikes again. I’m betting Senator Harry Reid, accidently told the truth last week when he mentioned the figure of $2 Trillion dollars, but that’s only part of the problem.

They keep telling us it’s going to cost x amount of dollars over the next ten years, and that’s mostly for the start-up costs. However, what people talk little about is “the magic”. Here’s how it will work… Starting today you will have to pay out $400 dollars per month (just an example) for the next 60 months, before you can buy the car you have been wanting. And now that you have a 5 year old car, you still have another 60 months of payments to go before you own it.

This may not be the best example but you get the idea. “They” being our elected collective thieves in D.C. are touting whatever the number is going to be, but people keep thinking that’s for 10 years of service… Hahahahaha!
The number may be spread out over a 10 year period, but we will only get five years of service. And there my friends is the dirty little magic trick they keep pulling on the American people.

They must think we are all stupid or something. With that being said, and I am honestly NOT trying to be mean, but… what does this say for those on the left that want Obamacare so badly?

Gio,

Maybe, just maybe, the people who want Obamacare so badly are among the 47% of Americans who don’t pay income taxes? and who expect the rest of us to “subsidize” their healthcare costs? LOL

They learned the same kind of math as Biden…
