Obama Makes A Military Decision – Finally!

H/T goes out to Cecil Moon over at Zion Beckons for this article.

Helping Taliban go Green!

Helping Taliban go Green!

Someone posted at CNSNews.com that Green is the new Red. And I for one, agree with them. They (Commies) are simply using the Green movement to enact a code that basically tells everyone how they must live their life, and what choices they MUST make.  The clincher for me was this comment… “Earth Day is on Lenin’s birthday”. That CANNOT be an accident.

An Easy Military Decision for Obama: Asks ‘Brave’ Troops to Compete in Green Government Contest

(CNSNews.com) – President Barack Obama signed an executive order earlier this month requiring federal agencies to set a 2020 greenhouse gas emission reduction target within 90 days – and he followed up by asking  “our brave men and women in uniform” and government employees to compete in the GreenGov Challenge.
“As the largest consumer of energy in the U.S. economy, the federal government can and should lead by example when it comes to creating innovative ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, increase energy efficiency, conserve water, reduce waste, and use environmentally responsible products and technologies,” Obama said when he signed the order on Oct. 5.
“This Executive Order builds on the momentum of the Recovery Act to help create a clean energy economy and demonstrates the Federal government’s commitment, over and above what is already being done, to reducing emissions and saving money,” he added.
Details of the contest are given on the Whitehouse.gov home page:

“If you’re a Federal employee or one of our brave men and women in uniform, this is your chance to positively impact how your department or agency will meet its 2020 greenhouse gas emissions reduction target,” the announcement launching the program said on Monday. “Get your clean energy ideas ready and go take the GreenGov Challenge!”
The contest is open only to government employees and members of the military, not to federal contractors or the general public. The best ideas will be shared with the committee responsible for carrying out the president’s executive order.
“Some of the top ideas will be presented to the Steering Committee on Federal Sustainability – a group comprised of a senior official from each agency who is responsible for delivering among other things, each agency’s sustainability plan,” the contest announcement says.
The announcement said the contest is meant “to harness the collective wisdom of the more than 1.8 million civilian employees and our men and women in uniform.”
The executive order said the federal government occupies nearly 500,000 buildings, operates more than 600,000 vehicles, employs more than 1.8 million civilians, and purchases more than $500 billion per year in goods and services.
The executive order “builds on and expands the energy reduction and environmental requirements of Executive Order 13423 by making reductions of greenhouse gas emissions a priority of the Federal government, and by requiring agencies to develop sustainability plans focused on cost-effective projects and programs.”
“This your chance to positively impact how your agency will meet its 2020 greenhouse gas emissions reduction target,” the contest announcement says. “Be part of the GreenGov Challenge and help green our government!”

Actually, Granny beat me to it. That doesn’t diminish the article as a report on the ridiculous. With out any prior military experience, “the one” probably thinks that all those folks just lay around the billets all day with nothing to do. Gotta keep the youngun’s moral after school.

I pray that our electorate has learned by now that it is always a mistake to elect any commander-in-chief who has not served in some capacity in the military. Taking over that responsibility absolutely requires experience and not, on the job training. Perhaps the most important part is learning to take orders before you advance to giving them.

The global warming fanatics are nothing but a cult. I saw a blurb on Fox News this evening that the GREEN movement said we should all get rid of our pets (dogs and cats) and buy chickens and rabbits because we can eat them to help balance their carbon footprint. There is actually a book on this: Time to Eat the Dog.

Are these people totally nuts or what??? I was actually dumbfounded on this one.

The day when “they” come for my cats and birds is the day I turn homicidal.

There is no end to this lunacy! Help, I’m caught in a nightmare….

If I was in the military, I would send a memo back to Obama- When you send us the supplies we NEED we’ll consider sending you our ideas for going green!

I don’t eat pets, I did raise chickens and turkeys, we ate eggs and meat, um um good. My pet dogs were wonderful companions and guards against predators after the birds.

Here’s the blurb, it’s funny as hell if you ask me!

Save the Planet

A new book states that if you want to save the planet, it’s time to swap that pet cat or dog for a rabbit or a chicken.

New Zealand professors Robert and Brenda Vale write in their new book, “Time to Eat the Dog: The Real Guide to Sustainable Living,” that keeping a medium-sized dog has the same ecological impact as driving a Toyota Land Cruiser more than 6,000 miles/year. They say a cat causes the same environmental impact as driving a Volkswagen.

The couple assessed the carbon footprint created by popular pets, taking into account pet food ingredients and living space.

The pair does not actually advocate eating domestic animals but Brenda Vale says: “If we have edible pets like chickens for their eggs and meat and rabbits and pigs, we will be compensating for the impact of other things in our environment.”

Why don’t these libs start by not reproducing themselves to save our future? Better yet, come to WA State and do the “death with dignity” thing and save our planet…(I’m being sarcastic there)
