41.6 Million Abortions a Year

19 10 2009

Grim statistics:

Good news, bad news.

The good news is that the annual number of abortions worldwide in 2003 was 3.9 million fewer than the number in 1995 — a decline of 8.6%.

The bad news is that, in 2003, 41.6 million pre-born babies were killed worldwide. (In 1995, it was 45.5 million.) One in five of the world’s abortions in 2003 was in China.

The figures come from the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute, which is named after a president of Planned Parenthood.
