For those of you that don’t know about the Anita Dunn story, this is for you.
Ms. Dunn was recently hired by the White House to do nothing but keep an eye on Fox News. You heard correctly. This Marxist leaning White House is pissed because they can’t control the message at Fox News so they have decided to play a little game of Hard Ball! Ms. Dunn has been hired with the job title of White House Communications Director, but her job description (unwritten of course) is very narrow. Her job is to go after Fox News. Period!
In one of her first nationally televised appearances in front of a camera, she said this… ANITA DUNN, WHITE HOUSE COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR: “The reality of it is that Fox News often operates almost as either the research arm or the communications arm of the Republican Party. It’s fair to say about Fox, and certainly the way we view it is that it really is more a wing of the Republican Party.” That was her opening volley.
The next day Glenn Beck took her to task by giving a 10 minute monologue about how insideous she was by picking on Fox. Then a couple days later he got a phone call from someone in D.C. that changed everything. The following day that person drove to New York City to hand over a videotape of Ms. Dunn, recorded in June of this year. The recording was taken at a Catholic Church which is part of a Catholic School.
Prior to Glenn showing the video to his audience, he once again did a lengthy monologue. I have cut down the transcript to only the pertinent parts for the sake of saving time. From now on my comments will be in the color blue.
Glenn: When I said look at these people — again, this is Anita Dunn, June of this year. Here it is:
Dunn’s video transcript: A lot of you have a great deal of ability. A lot of you work hard. Put them together and that answers the “why not” question. There is usually not a good reason. And then the third lesson and tip actually comes from two of my favorite political philosophers: Mao Tse Tung and Mother Teresa, not often coupled together, but the two people that I turn to most to basically deliver a simple point, which is, you’re going to make choices. You’re going to challenge. You’re going to say “why not.” You’re going to figure out how to do things that have never been done before.
But here’s the deal — these are your choices. They are no one else’s. In 1947, when Mao Tse Tung was being challenged within his own party on his plan to basically take China over, Chiang Kai Shek and the nationalist Chinese held the cities that had the army. They had the airport. They had everything on their side, and people said, “How can you win? How can you do this? How can you do this, against all the odds against you?” And Mao Tse Tung said, “You know, you fight your war, and I’ll fight mine.”
The video continues, but you have read the worst part of it. So here is another person in the Obama White House that extols the virtues of a brutal Communist. In case your memory escapes you at the moment, Mao Tse Tung had over 60 Million of his own people slaughtered! How Ms. Dunn can admire a man like that is beyond me.
If anyone is interested, here’s the score so far… Van Jones, Mark Lloyd, Carol Browner, Cass Sunstein, and now Anita Dunn. All Marxists working with or for Obama!
White House communications director Anita Dunn stepped up her attack on the network, especially conservative ranter Glenn Beck.
Dunn defended herself, saying, “The Mao quote is one I picked up from the late Republican strategist Lee Atwater from something I read in the late 1980s, so I hope I don’t get my progressive friends mad at me.”
She claimed the phrase about “favorite political philosophers” was supposed to be ironic.
I highlighted what she said in Bold Black lettering from the video transcript. Please compare her exact words from the transcript, to what she’s claiming today. It’s clear to me that she is a liar!
One final thought before I go. A prominent Marxist once said the following…
“We asked for freedom of the press, thought, and civil liberties in the past because we were in the opposition and needed these liberties to conquer. Now that we have conquered, there is no longer any need for such civil liberties.”
