Al Gore Is a Chicken

Al Gore as pope

The true believers in the new religion of Man-made Global Warming Climate Change (MMCC) insist that it is SCIENCE.

Well, the scientific method is predicated on empirical evidence and intersubjectivity. Intersubjectivity refers to a fundamental scientific principle that scientists (those trained in the same scientific discipline, e.g., climatology) can verify the truthfulness of a scientific assertion by repeating or replicating the same procedures and arriving at the same results. It is through intersubjectivity that objectivity is assured.

To enable intersubjectivity and the resultant objectivity of scientific truths, the scientific community believe in the value and necessity of dialogue, debate, and criticism.

That’s why it is curious, to say the least, that Al Gore — the chief and most famous proponent of the scourge of MMCC, and the recipient of a Nobel Peace Prize — has refused to publicly debate MMCC since the release of his 2006 Oscar-winning documentary, “An Inconvenient Truth.”

On this past Friday, October 9, Gore spoke before the annual conference of the Society of Environmental Journalists, in Madison, Wisconsin. He grandly pronounced that “Never before in human history has a single generation been asked to make such difficult and consequential decisions” and that “We’re very close to that political tipping point” because he expects the Senate to pass a carbon emissions reduction bill before a December UN conference in Copenhagen, Denmark. (The House had already passed a similar Cap & Trade bill this June.)

In what organizers said was a rarity, Gore took half a dozen questions from journalists, including one from Phelim McAleer, an Irish filmmaker who asked Gore to address nine errors in his film, “An Inconvenient Truth,” which were identified by a British court in 2007.

Gore responded that the court ruling supported the showing of his film in British schools. When McAleer tried to debate further, his microphone was cut off by the moderators.

So much for science!

Can you imagine Albert Einstein refusing to debate or  cutting off the microphone of a fellow physicist who contests Einstein’s theory of relativity? True science does not fear, but instead welcome debate and dissent, because science is committed to truth, not dogma.

The wisdom of Gore lies exclusively in creating a problem and then solving it to the sole benefit of his personal bank roll. His personal wealth when he left office was less than 3 million. His subsequent investments in green industry and schemes has catapulted him to immense wealth–well over $50 million at last count. How else do you think he could afford the mega-mansion down there in Tennessee.

It’s the same old deal–follow the money.

IMHO, he came up with this scheme to retaliate for the 2000 election he lost. He’s just found a way to make us pay and pay and pay.
