Sarah Palin Scares Steve Schmidt

3 10 2009

news01Only in the American world of politics can a grown man be shown to be scared of a woman so easily. Steve Schmidt, remember him? Yep, he’s the guy that helped McCain lose the bid for the highest office on Earth, and he did this against a guy with NO experience, and has/had ties to many a radical anti-American. I’m guessing that Steve got spooked by Sarah Palin when 60,000 people showed up for one of her rallies, while his boss was drawing crowds in the hundreds.

I can’t wait to see what dirt Sarah has on Schmidt in her highly anticipated book about her run with John McCain back in 2008. I’m guessing that’s what this is really about. Either way, Steve is way off the mark on his latest predictions for Sarah. Read below for proof, and a good laugh. For me, I don’t care if the entire GOP thinks Sarah is not a good candidate. I only care about what the American people think, and fortunately for me the majority thinks Sarah would be great for America. As the old saying goes… You go girl!

Palin ‘Catastrophic’ for GOP?

Steve Schmidt, John McCain’s chief campaign strategist in 2008, said today that a Sarah Palin presidential nomination in 2012 would be “catastrophic” for the GOP. Is this controversial?

I can’t count the ways in which she is a poor candidate. She’s a terrible strategist, having inexplicably resigned before the end of her first term. She’s a capricious handler of her public appearances and the press. She picked a fight with David Letterman, of all people. People give her credit for having a unique brand of political charisma, but she needs prepared texts lest she go off the rails. (Remember her farewell speech as governor? Or the unbelievable one before that announcing her resignation? George W. Bush is a veritable William F. Buckley by comparison.)

But here’s the thing that rankles me most: As David Brooks, Kathleen Parker and others have pointed out, Palin draws strength from a side of the Republican Party that is hostile to, as Michael Gerson put it a few weeks ago, the very idea of ideas. (Her allegiance to that constituency was reconfirmed this week with the news that she pumped out a 400-page memoir in a mere four months. How insulting to those she expects to read the book.) Surely the GOP has more to offer than that. No wonder so many mainstream conservatives have rebuked her.

But even if you set all that aside, Palin still is undeniably one of the most divisive characters in American politics — across the political spectrum and within the GOP. When Mike Huckabee won the Iowa caucuses, Republican strategists worried that his Southern-fried populism would split the party if he won the nomination. On that score, Palin is far worse. She would tear the party to pieces.

LOL-Steve Schmidt was McCain’s campaign guru.

I hope Palin’s book blows both him and McRino clear to Mars.

McCain is doing his best to become the Jimmy Earl of the republican party.

Let’s all hope he doesn’t get the chance, as we are fast running out of elections to right the Good Ship America.

According to Steve Schmidt, Palin picked the fight with David Letterman. This guy is so in tune with current events, maybe he didn’t realize that it was Letterman who told the joke about A Rod knocking up her underage daughter. Letterman spent about a week trying to justify himself before he finally apologized.

Maybe Schmidt should invest $50/month for internet access. If he had, he might realize that making Letterman the venerable victim ain’t such a great strategy this week.

Let’s see…..ain’t that the same letterman who just admitted to sleeping with staff memberS………..LOL. And he’s right… she does split the GOP..in my mind the GOP should be flushed right down the crapper. Our Miss Sarah is popular because she is Mom and apple pie. Common sense and constitution. We conservatives love her. I find it very sexist at the way she is dismissed out right. The left hate her of course because they recocognize the true threat she is. I don’t know who the hell is out there , but barry is ripe for the picking. Not sure if we put Sarah on Top will do it. They Keep pushing Pawlentry……Who the hell is he? Any one with some ideas? Cause the Potus is ours to lose.

Straight up. She is a major threat and they will do everything to diminish her, including getting their facts wrong (Letterman). Heck, The Traitor has no executive experience and look where that’s gotten us…hopeandchangey all right.

Can’t wait to go to the store to pick up her book!

Granny and I went to Springfield, MO to see Palin in the Bass Pro Parking lot on a chilly morning a year ago. As home bass for BP, the place is huge and parking wasn’t available for blocks. They had no problem keeping the mob of thousands through the three hour wait (a single line for security) in the cold. As I think back, the crowd could have been culled from the D.C. 9/12 march as they showed the same characteristics; friendliness, cleanliness, determination, respect for each other and total dis-respect for advancing governmental controls. At 11 am, Mrs. “You betcha” showed up and the crowd went nuts. All I can say is that it’s too bad she had to drag the RINO on her attempt to relocate to Washington.

I came away with the impression, gained from the crowd, that she is the darling of those who don’t easily speak for themselves. Heck, I’d support her for no other reason than I’m sick of looking at Pelosi’s ugly botoxed face and the coterie of crones who perch on the same branch.

Palin’s book was ghostwritten by right-wing extremist Lynn Vincent, who co-wrote another book with a well-known white supremacist.

Woo-woo-woo! And this makes her different from every other person in Hollywood, politics or behind a microphone (with some notable conservative exceptions) in what way? As to the “white supremacist” nonsense, my barber voted for Obama who is a known black supremacist. Should I worry about having his razor close to my throat? I doubt that Palin, like tens of millions of Americans could possibly embrace the murder of forty million babies since Roe, or would deny the teachings of Jesus Christ. Rebekah, go back to the dark side and join Charles Johnson under the rock: the adult posters here need the space.

Cecil, I only responded so it would not go unchallenged. I will not respond any more. If some one wants an intelligent debate, … well that’s grate. I am getting really good at troll spotting. When they come in making accusations and talking about bush and your a racist………it usually goes down from there….LOL. My new policy is I will not waste my time on them and either should any body else. Let one person respond so it does not go unchallenged, and like you say leave the board for intelligent conversation. If they keep posting we all know Gio doe’s very funny things with a few key strokes. So what doe’s everyone think about not wasting our time. I know I am one of the biggest offenders cause they just irk me to no end. It will be hard for me…kinda like withdrawal…. 😉 but we really have better things to do and enjoy life more then these cool aide drinking nit wits

Rebekah…………you really need to find better ammo. Your link brings me to LGF which shows Ms Vincent Co-Wrote numerous Books. I don’t see where you’re getting right wing extremist out of that. She wrote one on Black Genocide and helping the Black community reduce its abortion rate…………na that’s not it. Was it the one on the Special Forces soldier……..could be since we know how much you hate the Brave Men and Women who allow Vermin like you to spew your rantings. I got it….It was on creationism………….OH, but wait….That was really more a debate amongst some very smart people debating intelligent design which kinda includes some evolution so some of you don’t get your knickers in a twist. But in your case I’d bet your Knickers are in a perpetual state of twist….kind of like your brain…
By the way…… How’s That Hopey Changey Thing Working Out For Ya

I’m a Navy veteran. You should be thanking ME for allowing people like you to spew your rants.

Rebekah, Thank you for your service to our country. I mean that….now
Just answer one question, which I don’t think you are biologically allowed to do. Why is it people like you can never just answer a question? You always evade , or answer a question with a question. What make Lynn Vincent a
“Well known White supremacist”?

3 10 2009
Rebekah

You’re welcome. It’s an honor to serve one’s country, and in my case, also a family tradition.

I didn’t say that Vincent was a white supremacist, I said that she co-wrote a book with one.

3 10 2009
Steve

Well that was good at least you answered. My bad what you said was
“right-wing extremist Lynn Vincent,”
And please correct me if I’m wrong , but don’t you kinda compare the two pretty closely.
Again I’ll ask where do you get that out of list from your link?

Rebekah,

You should stop spreading lies on this blog.

Palin’s co-author or ghostwriter, Lynn Vincent, is the author of Military Advantage (2001). Here’s the description on amazon:

“Product Description
Military Advantage will show you how to make the most of military service—first, by serving your country with honor, courage, and commitment, and second, by taking advantage of civilian education and career opportunities afforded by military service. In this book, you’ll learn how to earn a college degree while on active duty and finance your college education, how to match your military experience with civilian career options, how to market your military skills to civilian employers, and how to execute a successful transition from military service to a great civilian job. If you’re in the process of deciding whether to join the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines or Coast Guard, or you’re already serving in America’s armed forces, this book is for you!”

Vincent co-authored Donkey Cons: Sex, Crime, and Corruption in the Democratic Party (2006) with Robert Stacy McCain who is described by wikipedia as an “American conservative writer” and “former assistant national editor for The Washington Times.”

Wiki says that the Southern Poverty Law Center accused McCain for being a member of the Southern nationalist League of the South, which the SPLC calls a white supremacist hate group, a charge the League denies. In response, McCain states that the SPLC “first attacked [him] after” he reported statements criticizing it in a Washington Times news item, and that he “was an outspoken leader of the non-racist faction” when a white supremacist tried to get the League to adopt supremacist views.

It’s definitely not a lie. This man is well-known for his racism.

A little digging resulted in the following:

Regarding the League of the South, one can learn the true goals of this group from its website. Here’s a link to its FAQ:

http://dixienet.org/New%20Site/faq.shtml

Please note the last paragraph regarding the promotion of Anglo-Celtic culture and the apparent disregard for any other cultures that exist in the South.

Food for thought.

Bob

My thinking is Rebekah, that you interpret Anglo-Celtic culture as White Supremacy. However, if you note the next to the last paragraph from the LS website you link to, There is no discrimination of blacks or other races.

What LS is saying is that the sense of community and Human Rights are ingrained in the Southern lifestyle from the original settlers of the south, who were Anglo-Celtic. Being born in CA, raised in NY, and moved to FL, as an adult, I found the people in the south to be friendlier, more giving, and less likely to Judge people. I stayed.

Thank You for the link to LS, I am considering joining.

God Bless You.

Dip Schmidt, Murphy, Brooks, Noonan, Parker, and many others, are trying to hold back the tsunami that will hit on Nov 17th, when Palin’s book is finally released. Going Rogue is #1 at Amazon, #1 at Borders, #1 at Books A Million, and #3 at Barnes and Noble, (down from #1). WalMart is taking pre-release orders. I suspect that the publisher will have to increase their 1.5 million initial press run to closer to 3 million.

A rogue wave can destroy even the biggest ships at sea. Sarah Palin will ride such a wave right to the white house in 2012.

Ride the wave Sarah!!

You know what’s funny is that any one would even want this Idiot’s Steve Schmidt’s opinion on anything. I mean he’s got to be one of the biggest political losers of all time. If he ran McCain’s campaign then he should consider taxidermy in Moosejaw Alaska……..or Wasilla….. 😉
