No Honor For This Old Man

31 03 2009

.

John McCain & his supporters have made much of his sense of honor. Well, there’s precious little “honor” on display here. If it weren’t for Sarah, McCain would have lost by an even greater margin. And this is how this POS is repaying Sarah?

McCain Won’t Endorse Palin for 2012

McCain, the rino

McCain, the rino

John McCain was on Meet the Press today, and he gave an interesting answer when he was asked about supporting Sarah Palin for 2012. He only said that Palin should compete, and talked about all the good candidates the GOP has for 2012. He gave a let’s wait and see answer to supporting Palin.

When host David Gregory asked McCain if he would support Palin in 2012, he answered, “I’d like to see her compete. I think we’ve got some very good candidates: Jon Huntsman and–the problem when I run down these names, I always leave, leave out a, a name–Bobby Jindal, Tim Pawlenty. There’s, there’s so many. There’s a lot of good, fresh talent out there. On specifically supporting Palin, he said, “Oh, I’d have to see who the candidates are and, and what the situation is at the time. But have no doubt of my respect, admiration and love for Sarah and her family.”

That certainly sounds like an answer that a former nominee would give about a running mate who he didn’t see eye to eye with. The Palin and McCain camps are still trading jabs and blame over who was at fault for last year’s defeat. McCain could be a big problem for Palin, especially if he endorses someone else for the 2012 primary. I could see McCain endorsing Tim Pawlenty or Bobby Jindal. Above everything else, McCain is a good party soldier and he support whoever the nominee is.

The McCain/Palin relationship is reminiscent of the Kerry/Edwards situation in 2004. The two didn’t seem to like each other. Edwards was added to the ticket because he was supposed to be the young star that would push Kerry over the top. After they lost both sides blamed each other, and Kerry never gave a thought to endorsing Edwards in 2008. It is obvious there is some bad blood between the McCain and Palin camps, and this could cause a bit of embarrassment for her in the 2012 primary.

Ya know, throughout the entire election I only had one (”immigration” bill) – maybe two – negatives to say about that fidiot McCain. For the sake of party unity (and for the respect of his especial service to our country) I didn’t rail about what a two-timing clown he has been in the Senate. I didn’t mention how out of touch he was with his people and party.

But he would have looked like the biggest fool since ‘Dewey Beat Truman’ if it weren’t for Governor Sarah Palin. He would have been damned lucky to obtain more than 35% of the vote. And if it weren’t for the treasonous, complicit press he would have won – all due to Sarah’s support.

So, John-Boy, suck it up and go back to the country’s SNL – the US Senate. And remind yourself, once in a while, who the hell elected you into office.

Clown.

Saturday Night Live

BTW – I haven’t heard lately how James is doing. Is he home yet?

Ah, Saturday Night LIve. I should have known.

James finally returned home last Thursday. He’s very very grateful to be home & to be alive. He’s doing well: can walk with a cane, and sometimes even without. Thanks for asking!

How are your music gigs?

Great to hear about James. Standing and walking are toughies for us older folk. I’d use a cane but I’d probably smack someone with it and then I’d need bail and I’d run into Buuba again (I need Gio for that one to work).

Had a gig Saturday night. First gig for this band. We had only 4 rehearsals beforehand and did okay. We kicked some real butt on most tunes. Bombed on a couple of others – but that was to be expected. Bottom line is that we had a fun time for four hours. And the crowd (with the weather we were lucky to have one) had a good time, too. Thanks for asking.

Hey Dok Codger,

Will you ever put any of your gigs on youtube so we can seem them? Would love to hear you guys.

Michele,

To be honest with you I really don’t know how. I mean, I never done it. I suppose one of my sons could but even though they are all over 21, they don’t hang in bars and getting any of them to come and see me would be a miracle. Perhaps someone else in the band would have someone do it. (But they better get my permission first!)

And, anyway, I don’t think I would want to be on YouTube. I’ve got the looks to work in radio so video is not a medium that is . . . . . favorable to the Doktor. Besides, I can’t control who views it once it’s up there and I don’t want that other Michelle (“You hear me, Barack!!”) groovin’ out to my pickin’. It gives me the willies just thinking about it.

We’ll see what life brings.

I can’t believe how the press is still reaming Palin and now as Dok said, “fidiot”
won’t back her. The good thing about Palin is she is a fighter and won’t let this crappola get her down.

He threw her under the bus.
