Obama The Next Great Communist Leader?

23 11 2008

Some of you may not understand the dangers of the political education that Obama  has obtained throughout his adult life, and how it could shape his world view. The videos below are one of the best series I could find on the effects of Communism on humanity. I am afraid that our newly elected president can apply the same tenets of Communism to the detriment of us all.flagcommie_edited10

This series is titled “The Bloody History of Communism”. This series is by far, one of the best history lessons I have found describing the revolting and bloody affects of Communism. These videos are broken up into 14 parts, so you will need to set aside about an hour of your time to get through it all. As you watch these videos think of some of the things that are near and dear to Obama’s heart. For instance… his idea of a Civilian National Security Force. Or his idea of huge public works projects. Or his recent pick of an Attorney General that thinks the Second Ammendment does NOT give citizens the right to own firearms. The list goes on…

Please pass this along because it may just wake up a few more Patriots.

“The Bloody History of Communism”

This is not the future I want for my children and grandchildren.

Wow Gio…I see you have done yeoman’s work again here.

I have just simply got to make more time in the day for about three or four other bloggers like you that I simply adore…let alone admire.

The wealth of info. you have here is something I am going to have to try to catch up on if possible before Turkey Day…which I am going to be having plenty of interruptions in-between too.

Just want to say thank you.

For the heck of it, I am sure you have this covered already, I am going to put this link here speaking of communism…this includes John Sweeney/AFL-CIO.

Whoa! I took the two hours to review these and learned a great deal. I have also recently viewed Ben Stein’s “Expelled” which links well to the information provided here. Thank you, Gio.

I have been reading Obamanation, I recommend it to everyone. It is fascinating and provides insight on what formed Obama’s socialist philosophies and politics. Please read this book.

Thanks, Giovanni, for the time, trouble, & work you undertook to find and post these excellent videos! I wish I’d known about them when I was teaching Intro. to Comparative Politics to my freshmen & sophomores.

Eowyn,

Actually, the thanks goes to Michele and JPR. They got me started on the communism vids. All I did was dig a little further.

Gio,

This video is eye-opening. It’s really funny how Lenin’s evils are never discussed in Western Civ classes or history classes, i.e. the mass murders of peasants.

I just found this article at WND. It sums up what the commies are hoping will happen. I think they are underestimating the fortitude of the American people who didn’t vote for their “ruler.” As you have stated, purchase guns and lots of ’em! I suggest we had all better start stashing away good old-fashioned light bulbs, too, before the price is raised on them. I for one do not like these mercury-filled CFRs (or communist/Castro bulbs). I live in NC as well and the CFRs are going to be the only light bulbs available in a few short years, thanks to the state government.

Michele:

You’re so right. We keep hearing/reading about the 6 million Jews killed by the Nazis, in the MSM and from our college professors; but not about the many millions more who were killed or died under Marxist communism.

I used to ask the students in my Comparative Politics course if they knew of the latter, they all said “no.” I also asked them to think about why it is they haven’t been told of this.

Here’s what I taught them:
1. Beginning with the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia in 1917, Marxism-Leninism (M-L) spread to 150 countries to affect almost every continent. At its height, M-L ruled over ⅓ of humanity, accounting for over 40% of the world’s industrial production.
2. M-L took 85-100 million lives, from misguided economic experiments & the direct abuse of the state (see Nicolas Werth, et al., The Black Book of Communism: Crimes, Terror, Repression, Harvard U. Press, 1999). Here’s a breakdown of those deaths:
• Soviet Union (1917-1987): 32-62 million.
• People’s Republic of China (1949-1976): 45-72 million.
• Lithuania (1940-1955): 1.2 m killed or sent to labor camps.
• Hungary: 15,000 died in the 1956 uprising in Budapest.
• Cambodia (1974-1978): Khmer Rouge killed ⅓ of the population–an estimate of 2.3 m.
• At a minimum, the human costs of M-L amounted to 50 million lives (Zbigniew Brzezinski, The Grand Failure)

Eowyn,

Thumbs up to you for teaching students the truth! Where are more brave professors like you?

P.S. I can’t believe I wrote CFRs!!! I meant CFLs. I was just so disgusted by that article I couldn’t think straight. : )

I went to school in Canada, and we were taught all about the horrors of communism, and how many people died. And that was even in Quebec, the most socialist province in Canada. I can remember having old people come to our class from the forver Soviet block (Hungary, Poland, ) and talk to us and show us pictures. THis is the norm for teaching in Canada. I think all the other western countries teach it as well, except for the USA. I have lived in the states now for 20 years (after coming here to go to Yale) and I find US citizens to be uninformed about just about everything. Most people in the world think its a nation of idiots, except for the few on the top who get all the benefits of wealth and send thier kids to private schools.

So don’t assume just because you and your friends wheren’t taught something that the rest of the world doesn’t know. YOu probably can’t do differential caluculas that well either, but that’s taught in HIGH school in the rest of the world.

You say you’ve now been in the US for some 20 years now. Do you know if schoolchildren in Canada are STILL taught all about the horrors of Communism and how many died, etc.?

j fighter,

Like so many Leftists who troll Gio’s World, your lamentable ignorance extends to your illteracy. So, here’s your humble copy-editor to the rescue. Below is your post, with all your many and sundry mistakes corrected in italics:

hye Hi, you guys are nuts this is just one way to brain wash your mind and make u salves slaves of capitalism and those who want salve slaves to surive survive, need pplz people like u to belive believe that commuinst communism is bad.”

By the way, we reject communism because, unlike you, we actually know its sad record in the 20th century:

Instead of the promised utopia of a workers’ paradise, what actually transpired in Marxist communist states was a dystopic nightmare that took the lives of 85 to 100 million people who perished from misguided economic experiments and the deliberate abuse and murder by the state. The People’s Republic of China has the dubious distinction of having the greatest human toll, at 45 to 72 million. In the Soviet Union, between 1917 and 1987, anywhere from 32 to 62 million people lost their lives; in Cambodia, in a mere span of three years between 1975 and 1978, the Khmer Rouge regime managed to exterminate one-third (2.3 million) of the population. At a minimum, the human costs of communism amounted to 50 million lives, representing, in Zbigniew Brzezinski’s words, “without a doubt” the most extravagant and wasteful experiment in social engineering ever attempted.

You really should educate yourself on communism before displaying your gross ignorance. You can begin your education by reading Brzezinski’s The Grand Failure: The Birth and Death of Communism in the Twentieth Century (New York: Charles Scribner’s Sons, 1989).
