As I mentioned in my last posting, yesterday was Giovanni’s World one year anniversary. To some on the left I’m sure that this news will haunt them tonight when they try to go to sleep. But to some of us on the right, that sounds like some pretty good news. We are another voice of reason and common sense doing what we can to help the conservative cause. And as we all know, by helping to make the conservative cause stronger, we are automatically making our country stronger.
There is another reason to cheer this blogs success. Unfortunately, this is the “Great News-Not So Great News” that I wanted to bring up. There is one thread here on Giovanni’s World that has garnered more attention than any other issue, sadly it’s about Abortion. Let’s get the bad part out of the way first.
The Abortion issue is one that brings me great sadness. I wish this was a battle we never had to engage in, ever! The brutal truth is… the left won this battle back in January 22, 1973 when Roe v Wade was made law by the Supreme Court. Since then this country has killed approximately 40 million innocent lives. Although the right has been fighting this battle ever since that terrible decision, it has only been recently where it seems that public opinion has finally become a majority against legalized baby murder. This is very encouraging indeed, so keep up the fight.
Back in January 24 of 2009, I posted a piece written by me called “Obama Ok’s Killing Of Babies World-Wide”. Since that time the thread has had a little over 30,000 unique visitors to that post (30,168 to be exact as of 8:00 pm tonight). This does not include visits by Eowyn or myself. Anyone that is an Editor or Site Owner does not add to any hit-count on this blog. No matter how hard we try, we could not inflate these numbers, they are what they are and I could not be prouder. So I guess now you can see why this really was one of those Good News-Bad News postings.
We can change that to Good News-Good News if we can win this fight to save the lives of millions of innocent lives. Keep fighting and keep praying!

I actually participated in a phone poll last night about abortion. I believe the last question was, “Should the health care reform bill spend taxpayers’ money for abortions?” Since it was an automated poll, I couldn’t voice my opinion, but I gave a resounding NO. People need to understand that abortion is NOT A FORM OF BIRTH CONTROL. With so much information and free birth control out there nowadays, why are we still performing abortions? Can’t you get free birth control from the health department? Can’t you get free condoms from the health department or from your school? It’s FREE, so why not use it instead of aborting a life?
So all we’ve said is, in building a better system, what are the elements? Well, number one, for people like you, you should be able to get some help going into the private insurance marketplace and buying health insurance. So we would give you a tax credit, a subsidy of some sort, to help you obtain insurance.
I can’t even get past question #1. What the hell is that supposed to mean? “A tax credit, a subsidy of some sort, to help you obtain insurance.” He doesn’t even know what he’s allegedly giving away. Explain, Mr. Out of Africa, just what is a subsidy OF SOME SORT???
What an inarticulate boob!
Okay, I’ll go back and read some more. But I’m not gonna like it.

As I review my life, I pray for a merciful God who has promised to forgive my many sins through my repentance. I cannot imagine facing Him with the odor of killing a baby on my hands. This is a “choice” which would be terrifying.
As I sort my twenty grandchildren through my minds eye I can only rejoice that my children share my view and obey His laws. Each of those persons has his distinctive persona and has his own contribution to make. I despise the thought of a world deprived of any one of them. Or yours!
Any health care reform which supports the ending of life either at the beginning or the end is in contradiction to the name of the issue. Death is the antithesis of health.
Since I posted the wrong comment to the wrong post above, I’ll comment on this one and then maybe shut up for a while. One of the most frustrating aspects about the whole abortion thing is the failure of people to see the unborn child as a human being. I remember when I was pregnant with my first baby and, early on, I nearly miscarried. I was terrified of losing that baby, and I don’t remember ever thinking of her as just a glob of tissue. She was my child and she was growing inside of me and I did everything I could to keep her, which I did. The wholesale waste of those millions of little lives is unconscionable. The fact that we have a president who condones and encourages and promotes that waste is worse than obscene.
