Sergeant First Class John C. Beale

16 07 2009

I almost went right on by this email. Thank God I didn’t. Please watch the video after reading. Warning: Keep some tissues close by. I’m over 50 and mean as a Rattlesnake when I want to be, but this had me in tears. This gave me hope that Americans still understand real patriotism. And it restored my faith knowing that I live in the best damned country on earth!

Gio, I know you get a lot of e-mails to go through, but I got this from a friend and wanted to send it to you. It hits you right in the heart and restores your patriotism at a time when our government and the media is doing everything it can squash patriotism and demoralize our country.

This is Georgians paying their respect.
Truly is awesome.

With all the doom and gloom in the news about our great country going downhill fast, watching this will not only bring tears to your eyes but should restore your hope for our future. There is a silent majority of true patriots out there, and we won’t give up on our freedom. God bless the families of those who gave all, and God bless America.

Killed in action the week before, the body of Sergeant First Class John C. Beale was returned to Falcon Field in Peachtree City, Georgia, just south of Atlanta, on June 11, 2009. The Henry County Police Department escorted the procession to the funeral home in McDonough, Georgia. A simple notice in local papers indicated the road route to be taken and the approximate time. Nowadays one can be led to believe that America no longer respects honor and no longer honors sacrifice outside the military. Be it known that there are many places in this land where people still recognize the courage and impact of total self-sacrifice. Georgia remains one of those graceful places. The link below is a short travelogue of that day’s remarkable and painful journey. But only watch this if you wish to have some of your faith in people restored. Please share widely. Well worth watching.

Thanks for posting this, Gio. It’s a reminder that there are still many many Americans who love America & the flag and who are grateful to the brave men and women in the service who put their lives on the line for us.

Watching the people standing by the roadside holding the American flag, I can’t help but recall what candidate Obama said last year, you know those “bitter white working class” in those small towns in the Midwest who “cling to guns or religion….”

Thank you for posting this. Glad to see there are still many Americans who support our troops who fight for freedom.

Hey, great video, glad you posted and I hope many people view it. I am very happy to see some semblance of true Patriotism in America. Lord help us all. My youngest kept coming in here and asking about the video which made it hard to catch in it’s entirety as Daddy leaves for Afghanistan soon and I wasn’t about to tell her what the vid was. whew. Anyway, I want to say that I’m not sure if you have seen some or any of the veterans coming back from over there lately, but it’s not pretty. Even when they come back seemingly and outwardly unscathed.

So, keep up the good work here in keeping our faith in a place with so many wack job creeps in government and the ones who voted them in that deserve neither Freedom or Liberty.

Warrant,

I’m glad you discovered Giovanni’s World! Welcome!

Please tell your husband “THANK YOU” for his service to our country. I often think that America really doesn’t deserve people like him. We salute him!

And…thank you for all your sacrifices keeping the family together while he’s away in Afghanistan.

Prayers for your husband as he heads to Afghanistan. May he and his fellow soldiers come back safely. Thanks for his service for our great country.
