‘Folsom’ sex-fest moves into NYC

‘Hundreds walked around naked, engaged in public lewdness’

A “copycat” of San Francisco’s infamous “Folsom Street Festival” homosexual event that features nudity and public sex acts has been held in New York City, apparently in violation of state public decency and exposure laws, according to an activist organization.

The report on Sunday’s “Folsom East” event, dubbed “New York‘s premiere SM-leather-fetish block party” and held on West 28th Street between 10th and 11th avenues, was compiled by sources for Americans for Truth About Homosexuality.

Organization chief Peter LaBarbera said undercover sources said hundreds of men were walking around fully or partly nude, and even a sadistic homosexual “electro-torture” exhibition was featured.

In the “public perversion” LaBarbera reported, a homosexual used a remote control device to deliver an electric charge to the sex organs of another man.

WND has reported several times on the San Francisco event, including weeks ago when promoters revealed this year’s poster, making fun of the traditional family.

The organizers for the X-rated Folsom Street Fair have produced a poster to promote this year’s event that features half a dozen actors and actresses playing the roles of the iconic “nuclear family” photograph from 40 years ago – but dressed in leather, holding fetishes and not quite fully clothed.

“Will House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., denounce this attack on the natural family, or will she continue to pander to her homosexual base – as she did by refusing to condemn a version of the above that blasphemed the Last Supper?” asked LaBarbera at the time.

“Few Americans have any clue about just how deviant America’s Queer Mecca is,” he said.

LaBarbera said the Folsom East undercover source reported police were around the perimeter of the event but not inside. He has posted a full report on his website, but readers are advised of the explicit nature of the images.

Robert Peters, president of New York City -based Morality in Media, told AFTAH the activities appeared to violate New York State’s laws against: “Public lewdness (Penal Law, Section 245.00); “Exposure of a person” (Section 245.01); and a “Promoting the exposure of a person” (Section 245.02).

“Tragically, the New York City Police Department turns a blind eye towards violations of these laws during the ‘gay pride’ festivities each year,” Peters told AFTAH.

Separately, a YouTube.com video was posted revealing some of the activities at the New York event, but it cannot be linked because of its explicit nature.

WND reported on last year’s event in San Francisco, when the local Chronicle newspaper documented: “There were naked people selling bondage gear and naked people seeking support for measures on the Nov. 4 ballot. There were naked people with cameras, taking pictures of other naked people. One man wore only an 11-foot Burmese python, which curled around his waist.”

The festival, which celebrates deviant sex, including homosexual activities, has turned in recent years into a daylong showing of nudity and public sex acts with promotions of the unnatural and pornographic – all on the public streets of San Francisco with formal approval of Mayor Gavin Newsom.

“Entry signs to the fair said, ‘Nudity is illegal,’ but thousands of people took advantage of the fact that nudity and decency laws were not enforced by the police,” LaBarbera’s report on last fall’s event said.

Linda Harvey of Mission America described the 2008 event as a “massive pagan pansexual street party, complete with instances of full nudity, homosexuality and crowds gathered around people being whipped for sado-masochistic pleasure.”
