Where’s the Birth Certificate?

21 05 2009

Even before he was elected president, questions were raised about Obama’s eligibility to be POTUS, specifically whether he really is a “Natural Born Citizen” as prescribed by the U. S. Constitution.

Lawsuit after lawsuit have been filed, in state courts as well as the Supreme Court. Reportedly, Obama has hired three law firms and expended about $1 million on legal expenses thus far to delay and ward off these lawsuits. Which is most odd because the matter can be settled with something very very simple — by Obama producing the original or vault copy of his birth certificate! (Those who have been following this issue know that the birth certificate that Obama’s campaign had put on its website is merely a “certificate of live birth” (COLB) that the state of Hawaii issues to confirm that a live birth of a human infant indeed had taken place. It does not say or confirm that the child, in this case, Barack Hussein Obama Jr., was actually born in Hawaii. COLB is not the actual birth certificate.)

Undaunted, citizens who want to get down to the bottom of this mystery are donating money to erect billboards such as the one below. Let’s keep up the pressure!

The first birth certificate billboard in Ball, La

The first birth certificate billboard in Ball, La

May 20, 2009 WorldNetDailyhttp://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=98724

More than $25,000 has been raised in the first two days of a national billboard campaign to raise awareness of questions surrounding the constitutional eligibility of Barack Obama to serve as president – and the first sign, an electronic one, is already up and online.

Joseph Farah, editor and chief executive officer of WND, said he’s calling it “the truth and transparency campaign.”

The money is being used to erect billboards around the country that ask a simple question: “Where’s the birth certificate?”

The first such sign to be posted under the 2-day-old campaign, a digital, electronic one, is up and online on Highway 165 in Ball, La. – the result of a donation by the owner. In addition, based on the heavy volume of financial donations in the first two days of the campaign, WND was able to commit to leasing two more standard billboards – one in Los Angeles and the other in Pennsylvania. It will take several weeks to get those billboards up because of the vinyl printing and shipping involved.

“I know now, because of the sensational response to this idea from WND viewers, that this national campaign is going to be big and long-lasting,” said Farah. “I want to thank all of those who have pitched in and contributed – with either cash donations or, in some cases, space donations. But the need for money continues. The public should know it costs about $2,000 just to print these 15-by-45 foot billboards. Each one is a huge commitment.”

Donations are being accepted to defray the costs of a national billboard campaign with the simple message: “Where’s the birth certificate?”

While the campaign is off to a great start, many viewers have asked why Obama’s name is not included in the billboard. Farah said the matter was carefully considered.

“There are several reasons we chose the message: ‘Where’s the birth certificate?’” he explained. “There is only one birth certificate controversy in this country today – despite the near-total absence of this issue from coverage in the non-WND media. This is a grass-roots issue that resonates around the country, as our own online petition with nearly 400,000 signers suggests. In addition, I like the simplicity of the message. I like the fact that the message will cause some people to ask themselves or others about the meaning of the message. It will stir curiosity. It will create a buzz. I’m assuming when these billboards are springing up all over the country, it might even make some in the news media curious. And there’s one more factor that persuaded me this was the way to go.

“Come 2012, campaign laws will pose restrictions on political advertising mentioning the names of presidential candidates. This one clearly doesn’t. I would like to see the federal government make the case that this is somehow a political ad,” he said.

Farah said the campaign was born of frustration with timid elected officials in Washington, corrupt judges around the country and a news media that show a stunning lack of curiosity about the most basic facts of Obama’s background – especially how it relates to constitutional eligibility for the highest office in the land.

“As Obama transforms this country from self-governing constitutional republic to one governed by a central ruling elite, the simple fact remains that no controlling legal authority has established that he is indeed a ‘natural born citizen’ as the Constitution requires,” Farah said. “Obama’s promises of transparency have become a bad joke as he continues to hide simple, innocuous documents like his birth certificate and his student records.”

The idea behind the billboard campaign is to make sure Obama cannot avoid this question any longer. He must be asked to produce it at every turn, Farah says. Billboard space is currently being hunted in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Sacramento, San Francisco, New York-New Jersey, Des Moines, Seattle and other metro areas.

“Is it unusual for a news agency to launch such a campaign?” asks Farah. “Yes it is. But we live in very unusual times. The founding fathers built special protections into the First Amendment for the free press. The reason they did that is because they understood a vibrant ‘Fourth Estate’ was necessary as an independent watchdog on government. It is in that tradition that WND assumes this role – since nobody else in the press will do it.”

WND previously launched a petition campaign that has collected more than 370,000 names demanding Obama’s eligibility be verified and demonstrated publicly. That campaign continues. That list has been shared with members of the Electoral College and the chief justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.

“I wish such a campaign were not absolutely necessary,” said Farah. “I wish there were checks and balances in our political and electoral systems to ensure that constitutional eligibility of presidential candidates was established before politicians could assume the highest office in the land. I wish my colleagues in the news media believed the Constitution really means what it says and pressed this issue as hard as we have pressed it at WND. I wish radio talk-show hosts were bold enough to ask this question. But wishing is not enough. It’s time to raise the visibility of this issue vital to the rule of law in America. I ask everyone to pitch in and help WND make a simple yet profound statement: The Constitution still matters.”

Your donation – from as little as $5 to as much as $1,000 – can be made online at the WND SuperStore. (Donations are not tax-deductible. Donations of amounts greater than $1,000 can be arranged by calling either 541-474-1776 or 1-800-4WND.COM. If you would prefer to mail in your contributions, they should be directed to WND, P.O. Box 1627, Medford, Oregon, 97501. Be sure to specify the purpose of the donation by writing “billboard” on the check. In addition, donations of billboard space will be accepted, as will significant contributions specifically targeted for geographic locations.)

I also have followed and posted about all of this from day one…I also have tons of links…I also know NOTHING is going to happen about this outrage…it is over.

Our country went to heck when the republicans did not make a huge deal out of this during the primaries…then the msm may have had to…it’s too late now…I’m moving on…Obama is committing suicide daily now…and today was a beautiful example.

Thank YOU Dick Cheney! ;-)

Sky,

I ruefully agree that this is a lost cause, that nothing will come of all these lawsuits – only because our country’s political ruling class, esp. the courts, refuse to act on this.

But we can still give them hell by harassing them at every turn! LOL

Don’t disagree…nevertheless, I want to cream Obama/Soros and the Chicago thugs on what we can …not what we can’t anymore.

By the way Eowyn…did you catch those two back to back speeches today O vs. Cheney?

What cut-throat tactics O used to try to override a speech planned well in advance that Cheney was going to give at EIB…and it backfired.

Cheney said it all…he minced NO WORDS!

I’ve been reading “The Generalship of Alexander The Great” by JFC Fuller. Now I took philosophy in college so I’m familiar with Socrates and I know that Alexander was tutored by Aristotle but I wasn’t particularly familiar with Plato. I have the 40 most influential books of Western Civ and “The Republic” is one of them but I never read it.

There have been, however, passing references to Plato in this book and it sounds like his theory about the state would be rather attractive to a socialist like Obama. Here’s a line attributed to WS Ferguson,”…it was an axiom of Greek political theory for men of genius to be held above the law.”

And here is a line from the aformentioned Aristotle,” If there exists in a state an individual so pre-eminent in virtue that neither the virtue nor political capacity of all the other citizens is comparable with his…,he should not be regarded as a member of the state at all…such a man should be rated as a god among men.”

Greek columns anyone??? Uncertain lineage-perhaps a son of Zeus?

Pin,

It doesn’t take an Alexander-the-Great conqueror to be grandiose and rationalize that he should be a god-man. All pathological narcissists, including the talentless with paltry achievements, do this.

But you’ve provided a striking example of this delusional rationalization! With your permission, may I borrow your citation?

Pin & Eowyn,

I have used the term Man-God more than once to describe his hollowness. But have no fear, this is one dude that will never kneel before a false God.

He might not kneel to a false god, but he certainly will bow to our enemies.

Of course!

It just goes to show what Solomon said about how there’s nothing new under the sun.

The passage really gobsmacked me in the context of everyone on the left saying how smart Obama is when he’s never released his transcripts-on top of his reliance on the teleprompter.

I guess the other way to look at it is the 10 righteous men standard God gave Abraham and Lot. What I mean is, we are all so wretched and corrupt that a guy like Obama looks like a virtuous god! Lord, I hope not!

Another interesting passage talked about how Alexander was actually considered by the Egyptians to be Ra. He was the personification of their sun god. Alexander never actually went around proclaiming himself a god per se-but neither did he stop other people from making that claim about him.

In that light-as it were- I thought Dennis Miller to be a bit naive when he said Obama must be shaking his head at all of the accolades heaped upon him by his followers. That’s not true at all. It’s some kind of big feedback loop where they tell him he’s great and he totally believes it. I think that he has to believe it because he’s never confronted all the issues brought on by his totally idiotic mother.

Wow, Pin, that Dennis Miller sure is naive & gullible! I had thought better of him….

There’s plenty of material on Obama’s narcissism, e.g.,

Pin: I would have to see the clip of Dennis Miller or read the context before I believed he was that naive. He has a very sarcastic wit towards the Left, and that’s why I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt. If you can find the clip or the text, please post because I’d like to see/read it. If I am wrong, I am wrong and no big deal. Thanks.

I have podcasted DM since shortly after his radio show started. Early on he stipulated that he wasn’t going to pile on Obama like the left did Bush, at least at the start anyway. I can understand and respect that.

The comments that I am referring to were made in passing between him, Sal his sidekick and Christian his producer. He was talking about how behind closed doors Obama and Rahm must be shaking their heads at all the over the top adoration that Obama was receiving. He even thought that at some point Obama might go out there and say enough. That’s where I feel he was naive. I have not caught up on all my podcasts but over the last month and a half he has said that a lot of Obama’s actions bug him. Also any of you who have caught him on O’Reilly would have seen some criticism of the administration.

Being from a show business background I think that Miller saw all the reflexive liberal idiocy and , being pragmatic, wanted to give him a chance. In this particular instance, I’m with Rush.

Fair enough, Pin, I believe what you say. Thanks for the explanation. I would think by now Dennis would have figured it out. BHO is all about adulation and power.

Well even Sal his liberal sidekick is starting to seem a little sheepish-and I don’t mean bleating lol.

Here’s an interesting quote by Fuller,”Plato’s aim was ruthless-it was to make all men good, as he conceived goodness. The end justified the means; the end was sovreign; the state existed solely to convert each city into a divine anthill.”

Here’s a good one from Demosthenes:

“Formerly when the people of Athens had the courage to act and fight, they controlled the politicians. Now, on the contrary, the politicians hold the purse-strings and manage everything, while you, the people, robbed of nerve and sinew, stripped of wealth and of allies, have sunk to the level of lackeysand hangers-on, content if the politicians gratify you with a dole…or a procession…and your manliness reaches its climax when you add your thanks for what you own.”

I really have to question Obama’s Christianity because he, like many of these political types, seem to refuse to acknowledge that mankind is fallen and needs a spiritual redeemer as opposed to a state that makes them do right. They have it outside in.

Eowyn

Pin,

Thank you for the Fuller & Demosthenes quotes!

I, too, do not believe Obama is a Christian. The “church” he attended for 20 years in Chicago is a strange variety of Christianity – its theology is Black Liberation & its pastor was the racist Reverend Wright. And didn’t Obama, in some interview during the campaign, made a telling Freudian slip when he said “I’m a Muslim” when he meant “I’m a Christian”?

Christianity is the antidote to grandiose narcissism. Afterall, narcissists worship themselves, effectively making themselves gods, thereby violating the first and most important Commandment: “Thou shalt not have any strange gods before Me.”

Muslims have no problem with the concept of lying to the infidel.

His church was just a cover for a marxist social club.

Old Russian saying…You can tell same lie 1000 time(Ms. Pelosi) but not change truth!

Difference between USSR Communist media and USA “mainstream media”

In Russia government make media say what they want – even if lie.
In USA “mainstream media” try make government what they want – even if lie..
…..eventually they become same thing?!

Igor,

Sadly, you are right.

In the former Soviet Union (and to some extent still true today), it’s the government, i.e., the apparachiki, who lie; whereas in the United States today, it’s the willing accomplices in the MainStream Media & other cultural elites who lie.

I think the difference is that the Communist Party of the Soviet Union didn’t believe in their lies, whereas the MSM here actually do – not so much their lies, as in the utopian dreams that motivate & justify their lies. The end justifies the means.

So, the difference is the MSM here are more stupid than the CPSU.

This crime against our Constitution is not only sad but very dangerous. It shows the real Americans in this country that our leaders are nothing more then a bunch of thugs. We have been doing things like this around the world for a long time. This is why America is viewed as the # 1 Terrorist in the world.
Why was it so crucial to have a black man President. It clearly was not what people wanted. It was what Liberal’s wanted and of course the bias media.
