Fridays Open Thread

Sad but true.

Sad but true.

TGIF… Fridays are such great days, especially for those that still have a job. For those others that are just professional slackers, not so much.

Here’s my topic starter for Fridays Open Thread… The next big protest being considered by Tea Party activists is July 4th, with what I think is a big push to have the big-one in Washington DC. So here’s my Q… Do you think July 4th is such a good idea considering the president and all of the scum-bag politicians will be out of DC celebrating the 4th?

I agree. July 4th is not the day to protest. We need to pick a day and get the word out to as many people as we can.

On another topic: Has anyone heard anything about Wilmington trying to annex Monkey Junction? Thanks.

Using the 3 day weekend (is the 4th on the 4th this year?) is good only if we are all traveling to DC and can use the extra days.

However, most people will be doing their own thing (I know I have two gigs already for that weekend and I sure do need the cash) and partying so perhaps it’s not a good time for a demonstration in that respect.

My brain does not know of the best time unless it’s some event that can be disrupted by protesters. Some place where a lot of Leftists are basking in their self-absorbed glory.

LMM – I thought that the Monkey Junction annexation was a done deal. I have not heard any follow-ups.

Seattle organizers have decided to have next WA State Tea Party on Saturday, June 27th. The plan is to hold one in Olympia and one in Spokane. I know the lawmakers will be out of their offices but we had over 20K people across the state show up at the last rallies and I think our “reps” got the message. Just yesterday they killed two measures – a state income tax (on the “wealthy”) and an increase in the sales tax. We can make our voices heard!
