New Tea Party info 4/7/2009… I received an email from the organizer of the rally being held in Asheville NC on April 15th. In the email they explained that we need to be creative when making our signs. Evidently, the Mayor and his Council of dummies have just passed an ordinance whereby you cannot attach a sign on anything that may be used as a weapon. No sticks, poles , pipes, pitch-forks, etc. If any of you come up with a good idea as to how to hold up a sign higher than most, but not use a deadly weapon to do it, let us know. Also, you may want to check your local laws about things like this so you have a flawless protest!
This may be an Open Thread discussion I’m looking for, so excuse me if I put it in the wrong category. What do you expect from someone at 3:30 AM?
I have made an attempt to warn Tea Party people about the possible activities of ACORN, and even the Main Steam Media, that could take place at the rally you attend on April 15th. For complete details visit the two links that follow.
Ok, this is where you come in. I’ve been told that there are leftist groups preparing to go to some of the large Tea Parties and cause problems for protestors, or the entire event. What I don’t know is… what they might possibly try to do.
I would like to ask my regular readers to put on your thinking caps and try to get into the heads of lefties. Then write in the comments section how you think they could disrupt the rallies, and/or make the Tea Party protestors look foolish in the media’s eyes. Please, take your time and think outside the box. If any of your ideas has merit, we will do our best to pass along to other Tea Party sites, possible scenarios to look out for.
This is our biggest shot to date to get the attention of the American people and especially Obama and our Reps. Let’s NOT screw it up!

I’ve never been to a Left-wing demonstration, so I don’t know how they behave other than what I see on the news, especially in the SF Bay Area here — nudity, self-indulgence, and obscene sex acts in the frivolous parades (e.g., Gay Pride, Bay-to-Breakers race); great anger, hate, and rage against conservatives in the explicitly political protests; and just plain weirdness in all cases.
My guess is that the Left will resort to their usual bag of tricks, portraying conservatives as:
*Anti-black racists.
*”Intolerant” religious fanatics.
*”Uncaring” about “the poor.”
*Gun nuts.
You know, what candidate Obama confided to a San Francisco fund-raising event – those racist conservatives in the heartland who “cling to their guns and Bible.”
So, my suggestion to our side is:
1. Stay focused on our message.
2. When provoked, just SMILE and say “God Bless You!” That will have the same effect as spritzing Holy Water on the possessed in an exorcism.
3. Non-violence. ALWAYS.
4. Carry a Taser just in case.

Good points…I plan to be very polite to Seattlites as they tend to get VERY violent at protests. That being said, I’m sure I will be provoked by the hippies coming from Capitol Hill. Maybe not, there’s a Prop 8 event that same night…maybe they’ll all head over to that event!

All I can say if anyone has anything with video capabilities (phone or otherwise) keep it rolling, buddy up with a friend or fellow tea party member that you trust and record different parts of the party and if you see trouble brewing record it asap. This will make it easier to use as evidence to finger any liberal rent a mob. Also if you catch the offender in the act get the camera or camcorder in their faces criminals are naturally “gun shy” and would go to great length to shield their faces.
I’m going to stay on this media bit. If you see anyone who is not from a known conservative show or website like mary says stay away (especially those people who cannot contain their anger.) but again any legit tea party member with a camcorder; ‘”record the recorders” because if something goes foul there are two halves to a story and if a liberal get something on film they will edit enough to make a conservative look like the troublemaker.
Confront (peacefully) anyone with any racist signs. I can guarantee they may be a plant to make the party look bad (we all know this is about our money and how the Government is screwing us). Find out where they are from and which group they traveled in with. If they don’t care to answer be kind but point them out so everyone else can distance themselves from them because they are not one of the tea party goers! and again take pictures of this person or persons and yell out “they are not one of us!”
Ladies and gents I cannot stress how important video and pictures are. Liberals have mastered that fine art and so should we.

Great advice about the video. Claims are hard to make when the truth is on tape.
I too think there will be groups that will try to paint conservatives in a bad light, so here is one suggestion that may help deflect their intent.
1. Have your main message on the front of your sign in very large letters, but on the back of the sign, put a picture of MLK, or at least his famous quote… “to judge a man by the content of his character, not the color of his skin”. This does two things. It defuses anyone that wants to start a racial accusation, and it really is something that Conservatives believe in.

My advice is the same as my Brother Will; take lots of visual documentations. Pictures are good, but video is better….tons of it. Record even when there are no infiltrators around as this will further document that the Tea Parties are peaceful demonstrations.
I would further add that it be made very public that ACORN and the Daily Kos have planned to infiltrate and incite riots and violence to the Tea Parties as well as trying to hold their Anti-Tea Parties before April 15.
