Talk amongst yourselves, tell me how much you hate this blog, argue about the Messiah, prove how smart (or not) you are, ramble on about how this country is going down the toilet, or just talk about your favorite bimbo on American Idol.

The floor is all yours. Have fun…

Has anyone participated in any of the recent tea parties? MM has some great photos from the parties across the country today. They had one in Seattle but I couldn’t get away from work. And of course, it didn’t make the nightly news…

I hope the parties continue. It will be interesting to see when the media finally reports on them. I wonder if The One had any ACORN organizers infiltrating the parties…

DCG,

We had a tea party in Asheville NC and from what I can tell from the photos, all went well. I was supposed to attend, but rain kept me away. Later this afternoon I recieved an email from some that did attend and found that they were wet but very happy with the turnout.

What I found most interesting is the fact that it happened all over the country on very short notice. I really doubt if the media will even take notice because the majority of people that took part in the tea parties were conservatives. And we know how the media feels about conservatives, don’t we?

Anyway, it sounds like a very good start for something that was planned in a matter of a week. Now we need to grow this thing so we can get enough folks to march on DC.

Concur, we can make things happen if we put our minds to it! Good to see that us conservatives can quickly organize.

Course the Seattle media will only notice if there is a riot (like the typical Seattle protest). But that is not our style. Therefore it is not newsworthy. I have faith that we can keep the movement alive and I look forward to a DC march!

DCG,

I agree, to a point. There is nothing that would make me happier than to see some very large, yet civil tea parties, or demonstartions of any kind, that brought conservatives together with others that are also worried about this country’s future. Buuuut, we will have to fight against 2 enemies just to tell our side to the American people.

Enemy #1 will be the left. They HATE us with every fiber of their being. We stand in the way of their stupid, non-existant utopian world they so desperately desire. If they could get away with it, they would simply kill us and throw us in a mass grave, unmarked of course. The #2 problem is the media. The modern-day media is so in the tank for Obama and his Marxist agenda that any actions taken by conservatives will be looked upon as either anti-American, possibly racist, and/or will be totally ignored.

These are interesting, yet very dangerous times we live in, so I suggest we conservatives stick together. I have a very uneasy feeling that we will be the target of persecution by the current administration similar to what happened to the Jews in WWII.

I agree with your points of our enemies. The Left is the government control. They do have an agenda but may have opposition. I have many lib friends (I live close to Seattle after all) who are starting to be concerned about the way things are going (stock market, taxes, spending, etc.). My friends are also starting to wake up to the media’s lack of bias reporting. As for the media, they are fading away – so many newspapers going away including the Seattle PI. Let’s hope the libs don’t get rid of Rush, Hannity, etc.

I too am afraid for the short-term future and get by every day believing that America will be a better place. My dad (a Korean War vet) tells me that America and the freedoms we fought/fight for always prevail. He tells me to stand up for your country and yourself and believe in God. With all that you will prevail. My dad keeps me optimistic!

OK, let’s lighten up and talk about the bimbos on AI! What about the 16 yo red head in public school that can barely put together a coherent sentence?

Debbie,

Let’s hope the libs don’t get rid of Rush, Hannity, etc.

And if that could, and does, happen there will be no more America. Your Dad is quite a guy. Tell him I said “Thank you for your service” for me, please.

On a much Brighter Side (as per Debbie’s request), our community high school Girls’ Basketball team won their semi-finals today and will go to the final game tomorrow to, hopefully, win the State Girls’ HS BBall title. It was so weird watching the tallest girl on the team and remembering that she was just a little pre-pre-schooler just a few years ago. My family knows a lot of the girls on the team. I remember the girls’ Coach when he was a kid playing video games when we put on a Community Game day at the HS (pinball, video, and others).

Exciting times for our town. The sign outside the bar on the west end of town had the message,”The last people to leave town, please turn off the lights” since most of the town went to the games.

There – now isn’t that Lightened Up?

“Talk amongst yourselves, tell me how much you hate this blog, argue about the Messiah, prove how smart (or not) you are, ramble on about how this country is going down the toilet, or just talk about your favorite bimbo on American Idol.”

Well, I don’t hate this blog because it allows me to argue about the messiah, proving how smart I am, while rambling on about the country’s spiraling trip down the crapper. However, I cannot chime in about the Idol Bimbos because I am proud to say that I have not seen a single episode…(this season).

Yes, I know I am supposed to be taking a break from politics…but really…did you read the title of this post? I feel like maybe I have a little wiggle-room with a “very open” subject such as this. I am just dropping in to say hello to my friends and thank them for all of the kind words in response to my recent little mini-tantrum. I have actually spent very little time on line and I even danced with my 2 year old-daughter, just this evening.

Anyhow…Hello everyone…and thanks again for everything.

Booyah,

You danced with your daughter. It just don’t get better than that.

And – Gio,

I have no favorite bimbo on American Idol. I have rarely watched it. But I do have a few favorite babes that I watch sometimes. But I just remembered that my wife reads this blog.
Never mind.

P.S. Anyone who hates this blog can kiss my overly flatulent ass. (That’s right, honey. Now the whole world knows.)

I just want to say I’m sorry for all of the silly comments I’ve made here.

Please, please see my comments on “Mandatory Viewing For Lefties.”

Lately, I feel like I’m gonna lose it because I still can’t believe how quickly our county is being sold down the river. I’m glad to see people are starting to demonstrate their dissatisfaction with the policies of these corrupt politicians in our government (or can we really call it that anymore?) I would rather die than see our God given freedoms and beliefs stolen from us by the elitist jerks. “Give me liberty or give me death.”

I really know how you feel. At least my wife “gets it” (although she’s not as politically fanatical as I am) and we can talk. Although, it is I that always goes over the deep end and she snaps me out of it by asking, “So, how are the Cubs doing?”

Michele,

You have nothing to apolgize for. You are among friends and we all understand exactly what you are feeling. The country may be heading for the crapper, but we will bring it back from the brink of extinction, make no mistake about that. Hell, we have to bring it back, God has blessed this nation and it’s our duty to keep it constitutionaly sound.

Au contraire! You make some of the best comments on here, Dok.

You just also make some silly ones which adds the spice.

Oh man. Gio said ‘bimbo’. I just know there’ll be a PC, feminist, liberal attack over this.

Ah, but Gio wasn’t talking about the “PC, feminist, liberal” bimbos. They’re more more uglier and stinkier that the American Idol bimbos.

I enjoy the items here and usually follow links from NewsBusters to here. Just wish there was a ‘print’ button. Would like to print out some items for my computer unfriendly Dad.

Hate this blog? Hell no.

This blog is cool. I may not agree with everything in it but it is independent and thoughtful. The embodiment of what the founding father’s intended instead of mindless dribble about how Obama will save the world like some blogs I’ve come across.

I’ve actually learned things from this blog! Very few I can saw that about.

Blog on…Gio.

Gio,

Thanks for your blog. I check it out every single day. Have sent many links to your articles to friends and family.

I am also a Tarheel. Don’t live there anymore, but my heels will be forever black. (IE – I don’t wear shoes unless I absolutely have to. LOL)

You know my “thing” is guns. I follow the proposed legislation very carefully. Sending you a pic of the “Texas Ladies Club.” You’ll get a kick out of it.

On a brighter note, hubby brought home a flat of freshly picked strawberries. Boy are they good! Strawberry Custard Pie is in the works. Yeah, I really need more pie in my life. :)

Debbie,

They won the Class 1A (top ranked) State Final. There are parties going on all over town tonight and there will be a parade (a town of 2000 having an impromptu parade!) tomorrow with a special ceremony. Like I said last night – Exciting times!

Exciting indeed! Good news in the midst of this “crisis” we are experiencing…
