Let us pray for Eowyn's husband, James.

Let us pray for Eowyn's husband, James.

As all my regular readers know, Eowyn is an integral part of Giovanni’s World, and a good friend to all of us here.

And as she is someone close to us, I would like to ask everyone to say a prayer for her and her husband tonight. Eowyn’s husband was taken to the ER this morning, and is having health problems.

Thank you, Gio, for this lovely post, and to all of you for your prayers and concern.

My husband had acute shortness of breath all last night (Monday). This morning, as soon as his hospital opened the phonelines, he called his primary care doctor, described his symptoms to the nurse. Nurse said “Call 911.”

Fire truck & paramedics came, took him in their van; I followed in my car in a torrential rain. About 2-3 mi from the hospital, the van put on its emergency flashing lights. I was able to follow it through various intersections, to another hospital’s ER, notable for its excellent cardiology care.

Many tests were done: James had a mild heart attack sometime in the last 24 hours; there are also other health issues. I stayed with him until late in the afternoon when I returned home to care for our menagerie of fur & feathered children. He had blood transfusion & was transferred to his own hospital a few blocks away.

I will visit him first thing tomorrow a.m.

Once again, thank you for your thoughts and prayers. We really need them! Take care, and may God shower His abundant blessings on you all.

Eowyn, you’re both in my thoughts and prayers. I can’t imagine how difficult this must be for you, but rest in God’s peace and comfort.

Ach, I told you not to show him the costs of Porkulus Maximus, but does anyone listen to me? ;) (No intention of making light of the situation, but a little laughter can go a long way, no?)

Jokes aside, here’s hoping for the best, Eowyn.

Eowyn,

May God be with you and your family during this difficult time.

I experienced something very similar with my mom just two weeks ago, so I have a feel for what you are dealing with. While she was in the hospital, I had to take care of my 81yo dad, who has severe Az, along with some other issues.

I hope everything turns out well.

Eowyn,

I have been around for a whole two days…but you were one of the first people I spoke with on this site and I you made me feel welcome. Let me offer a prayer for your husband, for you and for all of furry, feathered family members. God is good and his plan, while not always making sense to us, is always ultimately best for us.

God bless.

Dave,

My heart goes out to you caring for your two aged parents. You are a good son.

Next time a crisis happens, let us know! We can all use support and prayers. I’ll be praying for you, as you carry your own cross.

God bless +

I’m a bit late here but: may the Lord grant health to your husband, and also peace of mind to all your family, Eowyn.

Dear friends,

Heart tests on James show that before this Monday night, he’s had at least 2 “silent” heart attacks, which had inflicted “moderate” damage to his heart muscles. Some of his blood vessels around his heart may also be blocked.

He’s having endoscopy today, to see if & where gastrointestinal tract bleeding is, which may account for his low hemoglobin count. Tomorrow, it’s angiogram. Then, it’s probably cardiac cathetization. After that, there may be openheart surgery, depending on test results & calculations (objective & subjective) of risks-benefits, given his age.

Yesterday, we said what we needed to say to each other. I don’t know what I’ll do without him, having known him since I was 22. But I’m strong, and I have certainty that God and His angels are taking good care of me, as good as can be under these circumstances.

Thank you to all of you. You’ll never know what your concern, empathy, prayers, and good wishes mean to me.

God bless +

I just heard on the radio the news that yesterday POTUS Obama’s “spokesmen” said that O does NOT support the reinstatement of the Orwellian-named “Fairness Doctrine.”

I hope this is true!

Eowyn, I’m so sorry to hear of how serious this is. You both remain in my thoughts and prayers. I continue to pray that God’s will is done, and that He gives you both the strength to handle whatever comes. I pray for James’ complete healing. I pray for your peace.

Eowyn,

I sent you a PM, but would also like to take this opportunity to say publicly… “you have an awful lot of people that are pulling and praying for you and James”. We all wish you both the very best possible outcome!

Thanks, Eowyn.

Hopefully, things will get a little easier when I am actually able to find a job.

Most everyone around here is shedding employees in droves.

Can’t really say I blame them, actually.

Just a quick note to say how very very thankful I am to and for all of you on Gio’s World.

(Jen, I can feel the hug you sent :)
Dave, I’m asking the Holy Spirit and your magnificent angel to help you on your job search.)

Update: They’re still trying to find the source of James’ internal bleeding. Must fix that before they’ll even consider doing heart surgery.

God bless everyone! Remember to praise God in and for all things +
