Handwriting analysis reveals scary choices for Obama, to say nothing of Obama himself…

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner's signature reveals a very secretive man, said forensic handwriting specialist Ronald Rice. He needs to be monitored, as he can be manipulative, sneaky, and narrow-minded. But he does not reveal his hand. His signature suggests a man who likes to use information when necessary, with a watchful eye on others.

More scary stuff…

Attorney General Eric Holder's handwriting and signature reveal that he is an introvert, said forensic handwriting specialist Ronald Rice. Introverts are fearful of emotion and intimacy and live by the motto, "what is in the best interest of me and only me?" Introverts are not compatible with emotionally extroverted people, nor can they readily identify with pain and suffering. They are connivers and manipulators, cold, detached and contemptible toward those with whom they work and associate.

seems funny the bloggers at dailyhos and huffin’stuff are OK with Os tax lax people but they were ready to hang ‘Joe The Plumber’ over his tax indescretion. Isn’t there a word for that?
Oh,I forgot, those rules do not apply to the democrats

mick,

“Isn’t there a word for that?”

Actually there are two words for that.
1. Hypocrite
2. Liberal

Although Holder scares the hell out of me, the analysis of introverts above is extremely unfair and inaccurate…especially considering pretty much all narcissists and psychopaths are actually extroverts.

Mike,

You must be referring to the handwriting analysis of Eric Holder? His profile looks like that of a psychopath. Not all psychopaths are glib extroverts. Jeffrey Dahmer was a psycho loner.

Yes, I was referring to Holder’s profile.

You’re definitely right about Jeffrey Dahmer. My main concern was correcting the negative portrayal of introverts, and I sort of overstated the “pretty much all narcissists and psychopaths are actually extroverts” comment, even though that is the typical profile. In any case, introverts are merely people who focus most of their attention on their “inner world,” because their thoughts and imaginations usually interest them more than keeping up with what’s going on in their immediate vicinity.

As a strongly introverted person myself, I just took the grossly misleading “introvert profile” above pretty personally:
(Introverts are fearful of emotion and intimacy and live by the motto, “what is in the best interest of me and only me?” Introverts are not compatible with emotionally extroverted people, nor can they readily identify with pain and suffering. They are connivers and manipulators, cold, detached and contemptible toward those with whom they work and associate.)

I’m not sure if you’re familiar with the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, but it provides a pretty solid casual understanding of major personality dimensions. It’s certainly not some infallible tool for categorizing people and putting them into boxes or anything, but it’s still useful for understanding major personality traits and how they combine. There are definitely some introverts who try to distance themselves from their feelings, and that even describes me pretty well (since I feel like I make poorer judgments when I rely on emotions over logic)…but that doesn’t automatically mean they’re (we’re ;) ) devoid of empathy or compassion. Besides, there are plenty of introverts who are extremely emotional as well, since emotionality is on a pretty independent spectrum.

The whole, “What is in the best interest of me and only me” thing pretty much describes narcissists and psychopaths (and people with other cluster B personality disorders to a somewhat lesser extent). My post above was to emphasize that equating that mentality – or a lack of empathy – with introversion is complete hogwash, especially since those disorders strongly correlate with extroversion. (Although as you pointed out, psychopathy isn’t exclusive to glib extroverts either.) Pretty much nothing in the entire paragraph applies to introverted feelers, and while it may be fair to consider introverted thinkers to be somewhat cool and detached (if not cold), the charge of being connivers and manipulators is again jaw-droppingly misplaced (at least in general).

Mike,

That graphoanalysis probably was intruncated. I can’t believe a graphologist would generalize about introverts in that manner, equating introverts with empathy-less and conscience-less psychopaths.

There’s nothing wrong with being introverted, there’s plenty wrong with being narcissistic, and psychopaths are just plain evil.

I took the Myers-Briggs, and I score half way between introvert & extrovert. On some things, I’m introvert. I’m pretty self-sufficient; I think about what I’ll say before I say it; and unlike extroverts like Bill Clinton, I most definitely do not draw my energy from being around people.

Good night! ;)
