I really don’t think Sarah Palin has quite the same grace as Princess Di. That’s quite a stretch. FDR might have been proud of her political skills, the ones that ferried her from a hockey mom to a VP hopeful. He wouldn’t have agreed with her much though. Obama and Palin are each related to a lot of those fancy people. I bet most of the people in this country with–like both Obama and Palin– white-anglo-saxon-protestant ancestors could show the same thing–it just means that those pilgrims/colonialists were very prolific and their lines did not all die out. I bet most black americans — descendants of former slaves– could show the same thing– since most have some white ancestry– and the slave owners were part of the w.a.s.p. ruling class.
